  1. Thank you, I will give them a shout.
  2. Good day, I am getting a error 57 on my RCT Axpert. I took the control board out as the repair manual suggested. I tested the current sense diodes etc.. But could not find anything wrong. The inverter still gives me error 57. Where can i buy a new control board? or do someone have a second hand one to sell? Thanks
  3. @Javi Martínez, Thank you i missed that. Seems to be different current rating.
  4. check the manual again... it is in there. What type of batteries do you have?
  5. Good day, My 5kVA RCT Axpert broke over the weekend. I opened it up and found some burned components. So i need the following: 9 x IRGP4750D MOSFET 16 x IRFB3307ZPBF I got prices from ManTech and rs-components. Problem is it is very expensive and on back order. They also want me to buy a tube of 25 units. cost +- R2000 Any suggestions on this matter will be appreciated. Anybody replaced these rectifiers successfully? any other places selling them (in stock) ? Regards fritz
  6. Ok, so if the meter will not go in reverse I will skip the grid tie for now. @Jaco de Jongh , glad you are using those panels. I wish i kept them.....
  7. Good day, I have one of these power link municipality meters. what will happen if i connect a Grid-tie inverter to my house power??
  8. I hope they will tax all the people December on the beach for sun bathing.
  9. GTI is still illegal right? who does it here in gauteng without a grid limiter?
  10. While we are on the geyser elements subject: I have a 200l geyser with a 4kW element. I then change the 4kw to a 2kw element to match my solar system. Axpert 4kw Because the stupid inverter resets the MPPT every time the element switches my batteries are now "moeg". (40A @ 50Vdc = 2000w) So i thought ill be smart. I then changed the 2kw element for a 1kw element :-(. The element needs to be on the whole day other wise the water is to cold for the evenings showers. This is a bit of a challenge now with winter here. The next step i want to try is to connect a separate PWM solar charger to the battery bank. I hope this will help the batteries while the MPPT resets. Have anyone done this before. MPPT and PWM connected to the same bank?
  11. I have the same problem @stuvo. My inverter idle's along until the 'big' 2kW geyser element kicks in. Then the MPPT is not ready and it pulls power out the batteries. My 105ah x 8 caravan batteries was recently reduced to 105ah x 4 , now my mppt have plenty power but the inverter wants to charge the batts instead of powering the load! this makes my very angry as there is more than enough solar power available.(sure of this, clear sun etc) I aslo have 260 x 12 PV. This have produce more than 3kW on occasions. Is there a soft start that can make a element draw current in ramp form..
  12. you have one new or secondhand ? price?
  13. Good day , I am looking for a 48V PWM charge controller. current >= 20A Secondhand or new. Please let me know i am in centurion. thanks
  14. ek het hulle nou gebel daai pryse is op die PWM model
  15. so will it be able to connect in parallel with the Mecer 5kVA ,, yes or no?
  16. I have the same problem/concern. The input PV watts drop to 0 and then picks it up again. The batteries have to take the full strain of the output. in my case the geyser. (45A DC @ 48V) Why cant it just keep the the available PV input to the load. Surely it must sense there is a bigger load connected at that point. I dont like it..... :-(
  17. i am sure i have a standard hot water feed for my machines., .... but will definitely check it out as soon as possible.

    Axpert 5kW

hi I meant the comms board for parallel operation. What software version is on it? as i understand it must be the same version or not?
  19. basis circuit that i got from internet, i just change the components to match my specification. ( voltage and current)
  20. Hi , Just made my self a simple LED fuse indicator so that i dont have to check on the inverter if all the PV's are connected and producing power. What do you guys use?
  21. @superdiy show off! grappie net , ,, ek net jaloers. my DIY cheapy. 10mm threaded rods wat n 50mm x 50mm angle iron regop vas hou. Die panele is voor saam vas met n aluminuim angle. en aan die kante. So wanneer die wind waai dan stress ek n bietjie..
  22. yeah i would also like to know this. My axpert got its own built in MPPT (60A) and then i buy a stand alone MPPT with its own PV input but both the CC outputs are connected to same battery bank.. Thus you can increase your input PV power in theory.
