GM Pf, I have on many occasions found the Raspberry PI hanging.Result was a redo of he ICC image,update and reconfigure.I have lost count on the amount of times it has been done. I was considering using the Mecer tablet to the job. I bought a portable Adata battery bank to use this as a UPS only to find it won't charge and supply power at the same time. Are there any circuits or silver bullets out there I can put together use to have a shared 5v busbar to allow for continuity?I have also purchased a power cube from Builders with ac and 2 DC outputs. Gm PF, A circuit diagram is required for layout of your system.I have downloaded Designspark and Smartdraw on a trial. What are the good ones out there that don't cost any arm or a leg? Thanks.

Or should I stick to six a side or 6/7 combo?

How do you rate your SP's on the DC side? Is it for each strings voltage total sum or Inverters MPPT max voltage rating or expected/assumed max voltage induction from spikes ? On the AC side I can only assume a rating of say 380v and whatever induced voltage you would receive from Eskom or a lightning strike? I am only asking these questions as the "wizard" that installed my solar system never installed or mentioned anything of sort and I want to implement these necessary changes.

Hi Jaco, Could you not spot the issue with one of those Ellies red plugs with leds to indicate a lack of or a state of a circuit?Or even make up an extension with that plug in it to test the light circuits individually?

The grid/inverter live/neutral separation is covered with this switch ? yes/no? https://www.acdc.co.za/products/4p-63a-din-changeover-switch?variant=30483376140 and the council wants this in place and the alias is a "Interlocked switch" ?

Where would you suggest I send a faulty Axpert to for repair ? The local supplier RCT ? What other reputable electronics dealer repairs Voltronics Inverters? Thanks.

I am trying to determine whether this avenue is an option to be "off grid "with the Axpert and the sign off will be a simple one. There be no grid connection and you will get a "grey day" battery charge from the generator whether a manual or electrical start/stop. You will still have a solar connection/daily charge option. The registration(form completion) of the generator connection is a must I see for COCT.

So if 600v DC is maximum for each MPPT, I should stay below (at 550v) for summer radiation when it's at its highest? So my thoughts would be using a solar tracker for arguments sake, you would also be in trouble and touch the 11A mark.

ESC463 I assume will be the standard on an offgrid/UPS connection. The assumption is that it will be the operation mode(normally open) when utility is UP/ON ? (Type of contacts: 4NO) Can I assume the inverter will energize the coil on the contactor disconnecting the Utility connection and will remain until Utility is restored. What will determine the restoration phase(Utility restored)?

Am I correct by saying the GTI will always face the utility and the Axpert will get its source from the GTI supply to make things legal?

Is it not as easy as putting a Grid tie inverter in front of it?

@pilotfish are these inline fuses (MC4)at the end of the string connections and nothing at the PV isolator?

Rufus Version 2.14.1086 is the one that worked eventually. Found lots of errors (250 were ism) on Kingston media (16gb). Ran a bad block check while installing the ICC image suspect a power outage when COCT where cutting trees in the area.

It has been like this for a couple of weeks.I have done a rufus and another image.It worked for a day and I know this because mails do not arrive in my inbox. Any ideas Thanks

I think this is related to DNS on the network connection(wifi) as the update software option does not list the previous updates for ICC either. My observation too.
