    Hi all,
Brand new to the solar world and excited to join the community! I just had my system installed: a Solis S6 Pro 6kW inverter, 10x 600W JA Solar panels, and 2x Freedom Won 5kW eTowers.
The journey has been interesting so far, with a few small configuration challenges, but I'm really happy with the performance. I know there's a steep learning curve ahead, and I'm looking forward to swapping stories and tips with everyone on the forum.

    Hi all,
I just had my first solar system installed, and while researching homeassistant integration I stumbled on slipx's dash. and would just like to say "I love it "
I do have a feature request tho,
It would be nice to have plotly graphs recording the individual pv strings, voltage and wattage. and daily peak graphs for each string.
Reason I would like this, I believe my installers have put too much on 1 of the strings and dont want to risk blowing the inverter.
Im pretty new to ha as well so dont really know how to start about doing this.
has anyone done anything similar or could help me with it ?

    Regards
    Mike

Does anyone have access to any release notes for the Deye firmware upgrades? I see lots of installers requesting fw upgrades for dongles and inverters but no one mentions bug fixes or improvements. Am I wrong for wanting to see this info before blindly upgrading?

I have no need to upgrade nor do I plan on upgrading for the hell of it. I'm just curious to know about any new features (if any) or info that might become available in newer releases. I guess I'm more surprised by the number of upgrade requests that are posted daily. Some of the installers/experts don't know how to configure time of use or other "basic" settings, yet the first thing they request is a fw upgrade.

@-cK- this has been added to release 6.5.0 🙂

Thanks @IggyP and @Sc00bs. After a lot of back and forth, I got the code loaded and the device connected to the inverter. At the moment I'm figuring out which port to use on the Deye 8kw but I think its somewhere in this thread. Thanks again for your help.

Maybe not 🙂 It does not quite seem like people are doing it this way.
Caveat: Its a little bit premature because I'm not quite done with it.  I'm sharing it here just in case someone else is interested so I know in future if I should make it publicly accessible.
I'm reading my sunsynk inverter via RS232. I prefer it this way because the Sunsynk Serial port has power which can power an ESP32 connected to a RS232 TTL converter. Dont like cables that dangle all over the show. This way is much cleaner compared to what I have seen.
I simply created a replacement dongle that is fully customizable. Its up to the user to enter the address IDs to be retrieved from the inverter which are sent over to home assistant  with No addons needed. It just needs a long live token generated on HA. When I'm done I will add the ability to download the recipes from Github.

The Dongle has a web gui that can be used to configure it.

    Some screenshots.

Some Embarrassing Pics of the Dongle itself. At the time my 3d Printer had some issues with under extrusion.

So I used a combination of
@IggyP post from 15 May for the setup, together with your advice to try a different cable and port on my W10 laptop. Started out by resetting the device, then followed each step without touching the device. It worked!
