Hi Steve. That’s nothing. I have seen AC breakers used between batteries and inverters. I’m still not sure why one would use a breaker and a fuse as the way the fuse is designed is to act as a breaker as well. Obviously good practice dictates that there should never be current flowing when the fuses are opened or closed.

There is no such setting on the inverter. I’m not sure why it’s on this app that you have.

If it’s a new Sunsynk inverter then it comes with a Sunsynk dongle and that requires you to download the Sunsynk app. It’s quite clear in the user manual

Seems like you don’t have the driver for the cable

The issue is that you will still have 50 meters of PV cable going to the inverter via some some of PV combiner which will have DC SPDs and breakers/fuses etc. Lightning can still travel via the positive or negative cable and those SPDs in the PV combiner needs an earth input and that’s mostly taken from the main DB. I haven’t seen any installation where that earth is wired to a separate earth spike.

Also people forget that there is only ONE earth. Some tend to talk about an AC vs DC earth. I think that before doing anything, there needs to be an understanding in why exactly it is done in a certain way.

I have always earthed the PV array to the main earth of the home and have never had any issues. Still not sure what’s the fascination with earth spikes when there is already an earth in place.

You can set it to 0w. It won’t affect your meter.

Hi David. The 6.5kva will work. Just know that the generator needs to supply the essential load as well as charge the battery so limit the charge current to the battery and you will be fine. Best to wire it into the AUX port
