I am uncertain how / what I should cut from this expensive battery disconnect to allow 70mm2 cables to be connected.
If someone is willing to post a picture of what they'd done that would be great.

I am using 8 "old" UPS batteries as well, and will give some feedback tomorrow.

If you take 9 months to get something like that approved - how many people will actually follow this process?!

Out of curiousity...  the 25 % rule is for the breaker connecting your property to the grid?  In a complex, we have a 600A breaker - so I can merrily have 33 kilowatt of generation going on here?

Only one batch of 5KVAs is affected. If there is an issue here it is a different issue.

It would be nice to list the serial numbers on a site somewhere so users could check themselves.  I.e. if your multiplus is not doing any heavy loads at the moment, you'd only find out if this is an issue once you hit heavy loads - and then it will be a bit sad.

Battery voltage has to drop low enough before it will go back into Bulk (I think it has to drop 5V below the float voltage, or around 49V). With a large enough battery bank (or small enough loads) this often doesn't happen, and the inverter remains in the state it was before.
In my experience, 0.85 is pessimistic. You can increase it slightly. I've had one case where an ESS system was in KeepBatteriesCharged mode, using excess PV for loads... and the SOC would drop linearly to zero over about a week. The battery was held at the float voltage the entire time, so clearly the SOC was wrong. The reason for that was a charge efficiency that was too low. While the PV is used to power loads, tiny amounts of charge goes into- and is taken out of the battery over time. If the inverter gives too little credit for the charge current that is returned to it, it tends to drop out like that.

Unfortunately I don't quite know the details, but unless your unit actually gives you problems I would not be worried.

It was the "street" 60A breaker to our house that had corroded on one side, and was slowly dying.  Also had low 210V moments.

I'm lazy when it comes to these things. Batteries aren't that sensitive to the exact voltages as long as you charge them properly (ie, exact absorb voltages are more important when you cycle daily. but not so much if you're a UPS).
So pretty much, for any AGM, 14.5V to absorb and 13.5V to float. Charge rate set to 15% of the capacity (C20.... C10... not that important).
So your settings seems good to me. Perhaps increase charge current to 20A.

Perhaps it is 11W when it is inverting from battery?  And the higher wattage is the overhead of the charger (even though it is not charging anything)?

And, if you register a new system after 31 May - what does it cost then?

No clamp function though, but it is safe to use.  I did not realize how dangerous an unsafe multimeter can be if you use it on the wrong mode with e.g. 220v.

It all runs in docker so it should be fine.  Docker on mac actually runs in a linux vm, and then the docker containers inside that.
(Yes, I agree macos is not a proper OS.  But the laptop works well.)

The initial "git clone ..." command won't initialize those special git directories - the build.sh has the commands to get those submodules.

I think one of the git submodule updates from the build.sh did not complete successfully - check if you can actually see the "dbus-tools/dbus" file?
