  2. well i mean it is pretty obvious why then since it can mix and the other can't.
  3. the kings capacity (PV) is 4Kw and its output (AC) is 5Kw, you could parallel them?
  4. off the bat you are probably most active then so it is to be expected.
  5. the king definitely mixes sources, no idea about eh duo though personally.
  6. very nice. i am assuming it doesn't matter that it hangs this way even though the manual shows it orientated sideways when stacked in 2's? i mean the cells are sealed and their orientation doesn't matter?
  7. Do you have a pic of your arrangement?
  8. I mean you can come look at my pool if you want - that's all the proof i need? And even if i am not right which i don't doubt i beg to differ that it is "next to nothing"
  9. mine is about 55kl and i run for 4hrs a day and the pool is looking great for its age, there is this common perception that 8hrs is needed but from my experience it isn't always, i run it at the peak sun time of the day which is also what is recommended. if you take the claim that a 0.75kW motor can move up to 16000lt/h you can see that even with losses and pipe restrictions etc you can easily achieve a full turnover rate in less time.

wowsers that's a bit of a penny for a pump though.

not when it runs on the solar 😛

I think one of the best benefits of gas is the fact that you don't rely on eskom or time related availability of sunshine when you consider it as an alternative to rather than a cost saving measure. I think a further effect on saving is the idea of having an open flame burning in your house whereby you don't leave it sitting for as long generally as you would maybe be comfortable leaving a stove to run. even so though, surely 115kW will cost you more than the ~190 it costs to fill a 9kg? (i do agree however on the whole that it isn't as massive a cost saving as people sometimes can make it out to be)

O_o lol a moderator must have changed this ?

    bliksem - Lightning!!
  15. here is one thread, but it isnt the one i was thinking of: https://powerforum.co.za/topic/3219-mecer-sol-i-ax-5-m-doesnt-work-with-pylontech/
  16. there was a thread about it somewhere, the consensus though seemed to be that it has no actual benefit though. I will try find it and paste it if i do.
  17. I think your initial post was the one I was looking for

so more like this? https://www.takealot.com/sqi-9-way-db-board-surface-din/PLID54859351?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_absBRD1ARIsAO4_D3utTKGCj2Ci9A6O3fhhHFPgD6hFVQY5Q92X5fO8vM3Bx5Hton_PFOcaAiM7EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds looks like it has dedicated gland spacing.
  19. Do you know how one could tell? is it primarily when there are 2 speed settings?
  20. Op is sorted
  21. from a recent post somewhere (I can't find it) it was mentioned that when a diode rectifier is used it causes power only to be drawn every second cycle etc and can cause damage inside the inverter. This is more just for understanding rather than an actual current issue I have.

a small plastic distribution box? https://www.takealot.com/sqi-8-way-db-board-surface-din/PLID54859350?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_absBRD1ARIsAO4_D3sAsGbj7SpqncCZV_9UO5N4Ezmmz3sQ68jprStTfNa1Df3-YGfukrMaAhxwEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds (link just for picture reference)
  23. post a picture of the batteries, maybe someone can identify them.
  24. you cannot measure the batteries all connected up reliably, they should be safely disconnected and allowed to rest for best results. you are probably chronically under charging your batteries, do you have a bmv? before others ask, what is your inverters firmware version?
  25. no opinions with regards to diode rectifiers?
