So been watching some videos, I see Keith from Sunsynk saying not to exceed 450v on the MPPT side, so assuming that if the VOC is 450v with 9 panels one should be fine, he also goes on to say the absolute maximum the inverter will take is 520v

Hi Guys We are upgrading my house to an 8kw Sunsynk unit I have a few questions, while I did read the forums the is no direct answer 1. What is the maximum length for the CT coil, I was told not exceed 13m, current distance is 22m what options or workarounds do I have ? 2. Earth Neutral Bonding when Eskom is off ? What exactly needs to be done for this ? 3. Are there any other special requirements such as surge protectors etc other than having double pole breakers and EL in front of the load ? 4. The non essential side of things, anything to note ? The inverter will replace a growatt which is covering one phase on my 3phase house Thanks in advance, sorry for noob questions but the sunsynk is not as straight forward as other installs and I want to do it the correct way

Yeah I see what you mean even at 9 you literally on 450v, I might need to sell up the JAs, and do 16 as well to be on the safe side. This is an expensive inverter so don't want it to be on its limits in any case will stay within limits always. Just the insane price of panels at the moment is something that my sway my decision

Hi Guys I am looking at a 8Kw sunsynk to replace my 5kw Growatt. I currently have 12 x 315 Watt JA Mono Panels I want to keep these but also add 10 x JA 540/550 Watt Panels. So basically 12 on one input, and 10 new panels on the other input Will it be an issue to have different string sizes on different MPPTs ? I have done this before on a Mecer 10kw 3ph with no issues in service for 3 years now Just wanted to if its recommended or not, if not will sell up the 12 panels and just get another 10 of the same

Hi Guys Selling a Growatt Inverter on behalf of a customer Inverter was sent back for a general check, took it to solarways for warranty check and they found nothing wrong with it. Probably misconfiguration on customer side. Rivnut is missing on battery negative terminal, but regular nut and bolt will sort out Unit Details: Growatt 3kw Inverter SPF 3000TL HVM, 24v Age: 1 Year Old Warranty: I believe these units have a 2 year warranty. Condition: Few scratches here and there otherwise over good condition Price: 5500 negotiable Sold as is, comes with original box. No wifi dongle Will supply original invoice from solarways

I had this issue own my own system, turns out the cr@p AC DC earth leakage was the problem, replaced with Schneider and never had the issue again

I had a similar issues, I played with another return to grid setting on the solarpower software which fixed the issue. I cannot remember the exact setting but it did fix the issue for my client, I know how to get to this setting if I am in front of the laptop but for the life of me cannot remember the exact wording. Also I use ICC on this particular 3ph system and its only 1 3ph inverter not 3.

Perhaps eskom line has an issue, when you say eskom disconnects does your voltage tester still ready 255v ?

No problem bud,I sent him all the details including video's of all settings and front panel display. My own growatt the older model behaves differently solar is always on. I did notice that this behave only happened on 5000TL only after enabling BMS to the battery and putting the growatt in Li mode

So set 01 solar now exactly the same charges up then drops solar

Correct but what I don't understand is why it jumps to battery to supply loads after its 100 percent and PV doesn't take over . The solar line also disappears.
