Yes, the data logger is a solarman logger, and hence linked to the solarman app. You are able to access it directly though and pull the data into your software of choice (such as Home Assistant). I'm not sure if the the SunSynk works on Deye but, to be honest, I doubt I'd switch even if it does work. The solarman HA integration is great, while I don't think there is a Sunsynk one as yet.

You can use any of the solarman Apps - vanilla, smart or business.

For clarity, Sunsynk requires at least one of grid and battery to work. So, as a backup solution battery is required (obviously there's no grid during LS).

It definitely doesn't replace the "trip switch". Put it after the breaker. This goes for both ASC and ASI.

I'm pretty sure solarman has an option to authorise more users to access the plant.

My neighbour at the previous place had about 60 tubes on his roof and he'd drop some shade cloth over some of the panels in the summer. This certainly worked for him, but only necessary because he heavily overspecced on the tubes.

Unfortunately one can't turn off the sun, so it's impossible to stop the heating. Only way to cool them is to tap off some hot water. Also, reviving a tube or two is very, very easy to do yourself should you want to. Regarding how hot they'll get, that largely depends on how much water your home uses. I will be very surprised if your water gets problematically hot though. I'm using you'll have a geyserwise which you can set to cool the water overnight should there be a couple of days of low water usage (e.g. when you're away).

I know pylontech allows one to mix and match sizes and models. Not sure how the other brands deal with this.

Another way of approaching the question is determining how much excess production capacity you have. For eg, if you generate 25kWh per day, and use 20kWh during the daytime, having a 10kWh battery is pretty pointless as it'll never be fully utilised.

It depends how much of a chance of frying your inverter you want to take, remembering that cold panels can have voltage quite a bit higher than their spec.

What dongle/logger do you have for the SunSynk?

Better / more storage will allow you to charge up the batteries whenever sun is shining and then use it when required, whether that be noon or midnight.

If geyser is bought within the last 20 years blanket will have very little effect. Lagging in the pipes could help though. Are your current panels producing sufficient electricity as is? If no, get more panels. If they're producing more than you can use upgrade your storage.
