  1. I'd rather hook it up to the Aux port.

There should be a cable connected from the CAN port of the inverter to the battery CAN port. On home screen, tapping on the battery icon and then Li-BMS bottom right should give you the communication status
  3. Surely easiest solution here is to have the remote control enabled via solarman?

If it works when there is no grid this leads me to believe this is a settings issue. Are you able to confirm the following: Batteries are connected via CAN and communication between battery and inverter has been established? Battery settings is set to lithium Activate battery is off In system work mode, selling first is off Solar sell is off (on both load and CT) Energy pattern is set to load first Grid peak shaving is off Time of use is turned on All days of the week are selected under time of use

    Turn off activate battery
  6. Correct. Although you are likely to have a baseload of at least a couple of hundred watts.
  7. I'm guessing the installer needs to take responsibility to get this sorted?
  8. You paid for the battery, you may as well use it (assuming you have solar). I'd cycle it each day.

Go to system work mode and then all the way down to page 3

Other thing to perhaps check is that you have selected all the days of the week for time of use.

    Yes

Why do you have grid peak shaving?
  13. Speedster replied to Mo1989's topic in Inverters
Have you set load or battery as priority?
  14. So gas geyser which doesn't work during loadshedding?
  15. Not really. There is no way to measure what a panel could have produced, except for using something like solcast prediction although this isn't perfect either.
  16. Question I have about not having a combiner box is the loss of protection and disconnect/isolation. Isn't surge protection on the panels at least a good idea?
  17. Are you sure those consumption numbers are correct? You seem to be out by a factor of 10, or you have horribly under-specced your system.
  18. Welcome and enjoy the flight
  19. Yup TH16 and geysers don't go well together. I use the CBI Astute, although it's a switch not a relay. Turning off at the db means there is no power at the geyser, so one needs to power the temp sensor another way.
  20. I may be missing something. What's the difference between putting something on essential and putting it on nonessential with an auto transfer to essential if the grid guess down?
  21. Why not just connect everything to essential from the get-go?
  22. Could you explain this a bit more?
  23. My understanding is that nonessentials can only work when there is an active grid connection. Open to be shown wrong on this
  24. Other thing to keep in mind, if you turn off your mains you'll lose everything on nonessential.
