  1. Hi Kevin I also have a Sunsynk with Volta Stage 1 Batteries, I am having an issue with Voltage charge discrepancies between the Sunsynk and Volta. Sunsynk sees the battery charge voltage as 56 volts, but 56 Volts on the Sunsynk is 56.3 volts on the Volta BMS, so this causes an over voltage pack alarm on the Volta every charge cycle.
  2. Correct, Yes BMS Monitoring Software for PC.
  3. Hi, I have a Volta Stage 1 battery. Looking for the BMS Software, anyone know where you can get the software.
  4. I have a Luxpower sna with a Volta Stage one battery in operation.
  5. You are correct, earth can be bridged /common.
  6. I have a Sunsynk 5K, and every now and then get this F59 error wheb Grid power comes back after Load Shedding. Any ideas what cold cause this. My Inverter loads are never above 1000 watts. Thanks
  7. I have to agree with you on this one Tony, I got a 5k Sunsynk, and really regret not spending the extra for the 8k.
  8. This is what have have installed now, working perfectly. pg2.pdf
  9. You cannot bridge the municipal Neutral and Earth even if it's to a separate Earth Spike, this will cause an earth trip on your Mains. Neutrals on the inverter input and output are bonded internally in the Sunsynk in "Normal" operating mode, so you cannot put a permanent earth bond on the inverter output Neutral. You need to use a relay so the Inverter output Neutral is only bonded to earth in when in Island mode. Hop this makes sense.
  10. Thanks, agreed. I have not installed the SPD's on my install as the Sunsynk already has internal SPD's. The relay for the eath bond is a must though to het rid of the floating neutral when in island mode.
  11. Did you get your Daly BMS to communicate with the Sunsynk. Is it on CAN Bus, or RS485 ? What pinouts did you use on rhe inverter side ?
  12. Thanks Tony, I came across this recommendation on the forum, and seems similar to your setup with the Inverter Grid connected before the Main E/L, so I'm going to give this a go. My house is old, and only has a combination OL-EL breaker wich is a 20 mA, so I will replace this with a 60 Amp OL Breaker, and a separate EL. Thanks for your response.
  13. You say "In top left hand corner it show off" You need to push the power button to turn the inverter on. Just because the display is on doesn't mean the inverter is switched on.
  14. So what are your battery settings ?
  15. Hi Tony, I am having Main E/L Tripping issues every time it rains, this is since my electrician installed an eath on my PV panels to an earth spike. Did you earth your PV panels ? My Sunsynk is currently Grid connected after the Mains E/L, not sure if this would be creating an issue. I have checked my pannels for leakage to earth, and there is none.
  16. Thanks for the confirmation. I'll need to install a 63Amp Breaker before my E/L 1st, and space is a problem in my DB.
  17. I have my Solar Inverter connected after my Main RCD, and get a lot of nuisance tripping when the grid power drops and comes back, so now I want to install a 63 Amp Breaker Before the Main RCD, and then connect my Solar Inverter before the Main RCD. Hopefully this will resolve my Main RCD nuisance tripping.
  18. Hi all, I have a Sunsynk 5Kv, and have installed a relay on the ATS as recommended by Sunsynk to do the Earth/Neutral bonding, but this causes the main E/L to trip when Eskom power drops, and when Inverter syncs when power returns, I suspect that the Earth/Neutral bond is still there for a split second when the Inverter reconnects to Grid after 60 seconds, as the ATS "Island Signal" only drops when the Inverter reconnects to Grid. So my plan now is to use a NC relay connected to Grid, so that when Eskom power drops, the relay bonds Earth/Neutral, and when Eskom power returns, the Earth/Neutral bond is removed, and after 60 seconds the Inverter connects to the Grid. Meaning that for 60 seconds while the Inverter resyncs I will jave a Floating Neutral. Your thoughts/comments. PS: My Solar Installer just left me with a floating Neutral on Essential Loads. Thanks
  19. Hi, I'm installing a Daly 16S 48V 100A on 15 cells, anybody know how the balance leads should be connected for 15 cells ?
  20. Great advise thank you, I agree going for a full BMS lithium is the way to go for me. I am in Alberton, Gauteng.
  21. Hi Igubu, I have 4.8kw Solar panels, and cycle on a daily basis, charging is done via built-in MPPT at max 40amp. Basically at the moment I get 3 to 4 kwh from my 200ah AGM Batteries, but ideally need up to 8 kwh a day from batteries to carry me through the night.
  22. Hi all, I have a Sunsynk 5Kv inverter with 4 x 200Ah AGM Batteries, looking to replace these with the Mercer 200ah lithium, is this a good option.
