PaulF007
So I decided to have a look at the Emon Local server and its a bit tricky to setup in the beginning but after that its running quite smoothly. You have a lot more options when it come to design the dash and you also have the ability to create a "virtual feed" if you need to do a calculation of sorts. All in all good fun and I would recommend the use of it if you have less than favorable internet connection. Here is some screen shots. Conditional formatting of data is added to the local Emon Virtual feeds for calculating values but is not logged Quite a few options to desighn your dash but you still need to "hot link" images if you want to include them in your dash A mobile dash: You also have the option to change the grid of your dash that makes placing values a bit easier. Guest
Yep Emon is great, that is why I told people to use it more than a year ago. It even runs on the Raspberry Pi.
Guest
Well done Paul. Ver bo my kop daai, but at least you are now in control of all that yourself, after I had laughed off a very stern warning not to interface with Emon a year later. fritserasmus
@PaulF007Your dashboards is to say the least: Impressive!!! So when do you start your training sessions for brothers in the dark?
PaulF007
All in good time my brother , all in good time. . Remember the old saying in the land of the Blind one eye is king... Here is a starter! If you missed it by chance.
Chris Hobson
After Paul's help I sat down this afternoon and put this Dashboard together. It contains 95% of the data fields I keep my eye on. It is not quite finished. Once again thank-you to Paul for setting up a local server and helping a sheep farmer through the intricacies of Emoncms. The cumulative power is wrong but only the last bit of the afternoons's data. PaulF007 and Mark

Don
Thank you @PaulF007 for getting @Chris Hobson going on Emoncms. Yes, it becomes addictive. You end up with a lot of dials and graphs that might seem a bit over the top for someone else, but I still find it interesting to look at from time to time. Don
Hi @Chris Hobson, Have a look at jgauge2 as well. It is basically the same as the the dials you use, except you can add the maximum value for the day as well. Here is an example of my load watts:

I will probably use them on the dash for mobile devices.
Chris Hobson
So here is my final dash with data coming from Manie's ICC. I need to tweek some of the feeds but I am happy with the final result. The 4 dials give me a snapshot at that time and quickly allows me to take in 4 important parameters. The numerical values give me a picture of what has gone on at the end of the day. The battery voltage and max min I think are fairly self explanatory. The top and bottom voltages come from the BMV's feed and I feel are important in an ageing battery bank like mine. Battery4 is a bit suspect and I want to keep my eye on it. The need for inverter temp is also needs no explanation. The PV voltage and amps and their maximums for the day may be unwarranted but come winter I would like to know what our PV voltage max is. I want to build up a picture of max amps to see whether I can safely oversize my PV array with my current cabling. The inverter voltage is probably not necessary but one look and I can tell whether the gennie is on or not. So rather that a little "light" I might as well have the voltage. The discharge figures are bit like a fuel gauge and is found on many dashes. The mid-point values is again to keep an eye on my ageing batteries. The charging max and min are to have a record of what has happened in one's absence and finally the charging expressed in watts I find useful in working out how close to a SOC of 100% we are. The idea is that if I find nothing wrong on the dash I can relax. If there is something I don't like then I would look further looking at feeds and graphs in Manie's ICC. There may be to many dials and readings but perhaps I am harking back to my childhood. Our farm is not to far from the station and we children made friends with the train drivers who would allow us aboard the steam locomotives whilst they were shunting at the local station, and of course they had LOTS of dials and gauges. On one occasion my father was loading cattle onto a train. The driver needs to be very skilled as he needs to stop with the wagon's door opposite the loading ramp whilst he is a fair distance away in locomotive. Hand signals are used but the ability to determine how much ground has been covered so that one can start to slow down is a skill gained over many years. The driver was not on his game and my father went forward to remonstrate with him only to find my elder brother who was about ten years old at the time operating the locomotive. Don
It looks great Chris. If you want you can ad additional dashboards with a graph on just about anything. As you say once a red flag comes up from the Main board, you can go to those graphs to figure out what has gone wrong and when.

PaulF007
Hello @patalhetas this was done ages ago so Some of it went missing but here is some of the Images that I still have and can be available here. You could edit them with something like GIMP or Photoshop (if you have a copy) Hope this helps! patalhetas
hi Paul, is working nice, but tell me, watt you mean "data feed" on top ? value from ?

The Used a live graph of the data that came in and set it to refresh every 5 sec. Then you place it below. This way you can see if the data feed is still active. I do know that there is a "active" plugin in emon that does the same now.
