It is usually installed as per the diagram below:

Much obliged and many thanks... this is really helpful. Does or would Sunsynk or Deye offer an extended cable up to 20m long for the CT Coil cable, would you know? My inverter position is about that length (20m) from the DB board and line that goes to the meter due to space constraints I'm unable to move the inverter nearer otherwise I risk having a long battery cable of 20m, alternatively, which is bad.

Yes, as long as you use the same gauge of copper as the original and maintain the twists, which help in reducing EMI.
