March 17, 20224 yr Not directly, only models with a removable or the newer round display have RS-485 etc ports and the firmware to talk to the BMS. But you can use Solar Assistant or similar to talk to the BMS and inverter, as an intermediary if you like.

Hope there is someone out there that might have pity on me and help me with a wiring diagram or some clear instructions. Please see attached files on items I purchased. 1 x SOL-I-AX-5P64 inverter 2 x Pylontech 2.4kw US2000C batteries 6 x 455 JA Solar panels 1 Raspberry Pi for communication between batteries and inverter 1 x battery disconnect switch Also have MC4 connectors and various circuit breakers Kind regards

You might be tempted to wire them 3S2P as it's easier and requires less cable, but the voltage will be far too high and you could damage the Solar Charge Controller.

I currently have 2x 5kw Super Infinisolar (SOL-I-IS-5M) and 2x Dyness B3 3,6kw units and i am struggling to get the correct SOC and BMS going on the software... I have tried to communicate dirctly with the battery, and what i have figured is that the DIP switches are in reverse according to my tests??? Dyness manual gives the following: Dip1 - BAUD rate selection, ON is CAN250K or 485: 115200, OFF is CAN500K or 485: 9600 Dip2 - RS485 selection Dip3 - Select the Master unit Dip4 - nothing What i found when communicating directly: Dip1 - nothing Dip2 - Select the Master unit (set to 1 for master, set to 0 cant communicate) Dip3 - RS485 Selection (0 gives RS485 Comms in my tests) Dip4 - BAUD rate selection, ON is CAN250K or 485: 115200, OFF is CAN500K or 485: 9600. I am going to try these settings tonight on my batteries and see what the software pics up. I have been talking to Pierre as well from Solar assistant, so i will let you know when i get any answers. I have purchased 12x 480W solar panels and 2 more 3.6kw dyness so im really hoping to get the software working well with the BMS system so i can integrate well with home automation and so on. My current solar assistant setup does not read the BMS properly and does not show the 2x batteries seperately i currently have. Also, when i pull a mere 1 kW for 1 hour it drops my SOC to 50 odd percent which is not the case, therefore i suspect the unit is reading the voltage and converting that to a SOC value, instead of actually reading the true SOC condition. Will keep you posted.
June 3, 20224 yr Hi guys... got this working through solar assistant using the above info and the details are correct regarding the DIP switch configuration. They have some how swopped them around. I will try read the bms now through the inverter and let you know if i come right.
June 3, 20224 yr Hi Brain if i my ask witch cable have u used from the battery to the raspberry with solar assistant on it and witch settings on solar assistant . for are trying to get reply from solar assistant on mail and face book with no reply from the beginning of the weak i have pylonteck battery's connected to axpert inverter using solar assistant working grate installed second system for my mom using axpert max and dyness battery's but that app is useless want to install solar assistant there 2 but there know cable for dyness batterys on the site thanks

Make sure that your master battery only has dip switch number 2 up and all the rest down. and for any other batteries, all the dip switches down. Let me know if you would like a photo or 2. All seems great, except, capacity is being reported as 50ah (see snapshot of the battery page on solar assistant), when this is actually a Dyness 5.12kWh, 100ah battery. Could the protocol be incorrect (I have it set to Dyness)?

Are you able to query cycles and SOH?
May 9, 20233 yr @Tsa I am using solar assistant software on a Raspberry Pi unit. Yes, all the battery info is displayed on the solar assistant software app.

Will try a few options that have been mentioned on the forum. DIP will be 0100 and will use Pin1 and Pin3 to the USB/RS485 converter as per below from the battery manual. If anyone has software suggestions, please shout.
