April 9, 20224 yr Hello everyone. I have a Pylontech UP5000 coonected to a Kodak VM III (OG5.48) which when connected with a comms cable goes to low battery alarm mode even if the eveter is displaying voltage above 52V and the BMS soc lights are showing that the battery is full or almost full. The inverter fimware version is V41.17.7z. what could possibly be the problem.

What are the various voltage levels set at on the inverter?

What are the various voltage levels set at on the inverter? I have the battery type setting on "Pylon" which is a custom setting for Pylontech batteries. I would assume that in this set up the battery is controlled by the Pylontech BMS settings and as such I'm not able to make any battery charging parameter. If I pull off the comms cable the Inverter goes into alarm mode since it's set on Pylon which requires comms. If I change to USER DEFINED the battery works fine but I prefer comms as the battery & inverter are compatible.

June 23, 20224 yr Any updates on this? Im having the exact same issue on my system, 2x og-plus5.48 inverters in parallel conected to 3x up5000 batteries if i switch the inverters off by the round grey button on the inverter the alarm 04 goes away and the batteries charge as normal but as soon as i switch any one of the inverters on it immidiatly gives me error 04 low battery but on the inverters i can see the voltage is 52v and on the batteries all the lights are on showing batteries are full
June 23, 20224 yr Author Unfortunately I haven't resolved the issue. I bought a cheap USB to RS232 adapter that failed to work properly hence I couldn't do the firmware update that I gathered would possibly clear the communication error. You could try updating both inverters to the latest firmware and do the same for Pylontech. You can get the latest firmware versions for Kodak on the Segen solar website.
