Here is the interesting thing...

The installer also installed for my brother-in-law, but the Mecer MX2 8K48V witht he same Dyness Battery as mine  - works flawlessly.  The user interface on that inverter is identical to mine.

  • I would not panic too much about that just yet. It seems that inverters identify themselves via two different commands: QMN and QGMN (Query Model Name and Query General Model Name). I don't know which

  • Looks like an MKS IV , feels like an MKS IV sold as an MKS IV , same specs .... could I be a lucky punk ? As I said, I am ready to pay for the service. Here's the manual : http://www.evosoft.dk

Don't hold your breath to sniff any CAN bus traffic produced by the inverter. There are one or two battery settings that support CAN , I think SOL is one of them . But typically CAN messages are produ

Hey guys, did you ever get this resolved? I am now having the same issue with the same inverter. I am trying to communicate with a JBD BMS which has rs485 bare cables. I thought it would be as simple as to make a DIY rj45 and connect it up... doesn't work! I have followed the pin assignment from the manual, which is pin 3 is B and pin 5 is A. the battery type is set to 3rd party lithium (LIC). So it should work...but doesn't. I'm pulling my hair out here, any ideas?

Long story short. I have a Axpert MKS IV 5600 under EaSunPower license...

I'll just note for the record (very belatedly) that actually this model is an Axpert VM IV, which looks a lot like an Axpert MKS IV, but an MKS IV has a slightly bigger gap between the bottom of the round display and the top of the cable cover. The proof would be the lack of setting 28; the VM models can't parallel but the MKS models can, and setting 28 (AC output mode) is about paralleling.

There is also an Infini (on-grid, capable of exporting) model that looks very much the same and has the same power rating, but it would be am OGrid EASun model instead of an ISolar model. It's all very confusing.

I'm also nearly completely convinced that the EASun models that look very genuine (some older models look very different) actually now are legitimately rebranded Voltronic Power models, made in the Voltronic Power factory.

Hello! So the issue was with the battery, not inverter U2 firmware?
Because I'm facing the same issue with 61 error on my MKS IV.

It could also be that you need the capacitor mod. The MKS IVs seem to have this the worst. I note that the OP actually has an Axpert VM IV.

Thanks, hope that not :) My inverter is a new one from October 2022, so maybe it's not the case.  In some parallel topic was mentioned that U2 firmware update from U2:2212 to U2:2215 fixed that issue.
