May 25, 20224 yr Hi one and all, was sick and tired of all the loadshedding and took the plunge with solar. I am struggling to get my system to work in sbu mode. I have the following, 10Kva Fivestar grid-tied 48v inverter (looks like the AXPERT/MERCER/VOLTRONIC inverters) 2 x 10kva 48v Narada lithium batteries (connected in parallel) 12 x 450w Mono panels here is my issue: when the system was powered up it used the solar as primary source, in the evening the batteries took over but i got an alarm/fault (ok!! thought that when the sun rises and the solar starts generating power again the fault will clear, nope it didn't), then early hours of the morning when my geyser kicks in for the morning shower the utility takes over but does not fall back onto solar when the voltage/watts has increased with the panels. here are my setting on the inverter: Al r (00) APL AFr (01) HI _ (02) SBU _ (03) CUt ACP (04) 100% SCP (05) 100% CU (06) 14.2v FLU (07) 13.5v CoU (08) 10.5v dtA (09) 11.6v Atd (10) 13.5v oU (11) 220v CSt (12) 1 dE oF (13) 50hz rA (14) tE bLC (15) Lod bEC (16) AoF bol (17) oN LL (18) oN LEL (19) oFF bAU (20) 00 odt (21) 220 r5 (22) oFF installer says when set it's set to SBU it should work according to that setting. BUT it does not, PLEASE, PLEASE help. Regards Edited May 25, 20224 yr by Dheven

I don't recognise most of the settings. I'm concerned that many settings seem to relate to a 12 V nominal system voltage, but you seem to be using it at 48 V, and surely a 10 kW inverter would be at least 48 V nominal.

July 9, 20223 yr Did you come right with the settings? I have a similar inverter and yes the settings are a bit odd. Try to change from sbu to ac/uitilty. If fault comes you have to switch off the inverter and restart. What time of the day are your pictures? Are you batteries fully charged daily. What type of batteries do you have,
July 16, 20223 yr Good morning Dheven. I just bought a unit like yours. I'm interested to find out if you came right with yours.

September 28, 20223 yr i have the similar system and i am completely of the the grid..i only mage 3 to 4 percent of usage at night from those batteries..i have separate solar geezers...here are my settings...Cu..51.8,Flu..51.6 CoU..42...this will fully charge your batteries and will be good
November 19, 20223 yr Hi. I also have a 10 kva fivestar. The scp and acp settings is at 100% when the inverter comes from the factory. What is the meaning of these abreviations and what should they be set at? Also where will I find the DOD setting?
December 4, 20223 yr Hi, I am also having some trouble with this inverter as the settings aren't even remotely close to the user manual that came with it. My client is constantly having issues and not knowing what some of the settings even mean really don't help. does anyone have a updated version of the user manual as that might shed some light on the extra settings the user manual only shows 15 settings and it states that you need to save after altering anything, thus not even close to the inverter settings that has 22 settings. any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
December 4, 20223 yr Does it have USB or RS232? Might want to try connect it to a laptop and inspect the settings with WatchPower/MultiSIBControl
December 5, 20223 yr Hi I am also having problem with the same inverter. Must program 1 be set ti inverter or USB. Program is currently on utl priority. Batteries are not charging while on inverter in program 1. Also the on off switch. What position should it be on.please help.
December 6, 20223 yr After searching for hours.. this is the closest I could get to a manual for this inverter [its a FIvestar Manual for another type. Abreviations etc on the settings are the same/very similar. Hope this helps. Fivestar Manual - another type - same setttings.pdf
December 16, 20223 yr Greetings change 02 to PUL this way solar use is prioritized, then baytery them as last resort the grid

May you not get LS the moment you went to grid as the last resort and sit in the dark 🤔
May 19, 20233 yr Hi. I have also bought this five star inverter and it has the same 12v settings which will not change to 48v . Please let me know if you have found the solution to it
May 27, 20233 yr Hi? I'm desperately in need of the manual for this inverter. Based in Johannesburg south Africa.
May 27, 20233 yr Something ain't right, it shouldn't even give 12V options options. Where did you buy it? Cause I am sort of familiar with the products and haven't seen that one before, also only a single site I can pick up has it listed. Not even the Fivestar dealer has it on his catalogue. June 16, 20233 yr Hi All Has anyone managed to get the correct settings for this inverter. I am trying to help my cousin out. He has the same inverter, as per the photos posted, connected to two CFE 5100 batteries. The batteries keep going into fault. I have logged into the batteries via wifi and the APP, but not picking up any error codes. Hoping someone has the answer to the settings.
January 26Jan 26 Hi I'm running this inverter in my place I bought it for a customer a few years ago and decided I didn't want to risk leaving it there as the 12v thing concerned me but it is actually designed for old lead acid batteries that were set 4 in series so you could just read the data sheet and set the setting to that. With the modern lithium batterys you need to divide the values by 4
