July 7, 20223 yr Hallo, My 5kW Deye keeps on tripping the essential loads earth leakage when connected to the grid. When grid is disconnected and running from battery everything is fine. I am getting ac power from the main db after the main earth leakage. According to the wiring diagram in the manual there is not supposed to be a earh leakage. Don't have solar installed yet. Thanks Ferdie
July 7, 20223 yr Author Do I need to disconnect the earth wire on the Deye inverter load output side?
July 7, 20223 yr You need to tap the supply breaker before the E/L to supply the inverter. It may be that the 2 E/L see each other.

July 7, 20223 yr Author Feedback: I did connect input to inverter before main earth leakage and I did disconnect the earth wire on the essential load of the inverter. Still tripping the earth leakage I installed in the new inverter db box. Not sure if it is the cheaper Major Tech trip switch? The other trip switch is almost three times more expensive. Thanks

Thanks You have a shared neutral somewhere ,i had the same problem and it took me months to find it lol.

July 7, 20223 yr Author This solar wiring drawing I got from another forum. I will split the neutral of the essentials and non essentials. Tapatalk-Download45454637Solar Diagram 2.pdf

Thanks I had the same issue. connected inverter before main earth leakage and replaced the earth leakage in the new db box with a good brand, CBi. Do not disconnect the earth from the essential load.
July 8, 20223 yr Author Feedback: Took 4 hours to identify all neutral wires and rewire main db box with 2 neutral bars. One for essentials and one for non essentials. Install earth leakage again in inverter db box. Everything working 100%. Thanks to everyone fot your participation and knowledge to steer me in the right direction. Cheers.
