Home assistant and Jet-air aircon integration

Featured Replies

I have been using the smart automations on the JASA app, but wanted to integrate with home assistant via the smart life app, but I don't see all the entities I need, specifically the temperature setting.  Has anyone perhaps done this yet?

I used the smart life app and the "add wifi aircon option". Would this be the same that you used?

The result on smart life is a very reduced version of the original jasa app, although the temperature setting does exist there. I've pulled in CBI astute products previously like this and the smart life interface was exactly the same as the original CBI app.

Ah yes the smart life is watered down compared to JASA but when you pull the device into HomeAssistant you have all the functions you need, including being able to turn off the temperature back-light

I played around a bit more...interestingly enough, the only 2 entities that show up on the Tuya integration dashboard, are the backlight and child lock entities, yet I see the overview tab has pulled in full functionality - perhaps this is a user problem on this side and I just need to tinker a bit more. Irrespective, I managed to use the HomeKit bridge to pull this device into my iOS environment so I can now ask Siri to at least switch the aircon and control the temperature. 🙂

Have noticed a few times that the entities are diabled and need to be enabled. check the devie out and see if there are any entites that are disabled.

Resurrecting an old thread here. Did you ever figure this out?

I have 2x JASA aircons. Both worked with full functionality in the JASA app. But pulled into smart-life or tuya smart and then via those integrations in HA ends up with the upstairs unit not having fan speed control. When pulled into HA from Tuya integration it shows the fan up/down function where the other unit shows the fan speed. Was it as simple as enabling entities?

@BobTheDinosaur I never managed to pull in the fan speed control. I have found though that if I set the fan speed via the remote control and I simply switch the unit on or off via HA, it retains that fan setting until a physical ac reset or change via the remote control. 🫤
