Hi all,

Can I have some recommendations for cable thickness between DB and inverter for both a 5.5 and 8 kw inverter?

Inverter is about 10 meter max from the DB.

Possibly 4mm2 surfix for 5,5kw and 6mm2 for 8kw..........

I will for sure not run the 8kW with a pass through current of 50A on a 6 sq mm cable.

I would do 6mm2 on a 5kw and 10mm2 on an 8kw

So 6mm2 should be fine for 5.5kw and 10mm2 for the 8kw

^^^This. The extra cost is largely negligible.
