September 30, 20223 yr Hi all, I am not sure if the problem still exists, but AFAIK sometimes when multiple Axpert King inverters are connected in parallel, ONLY ONE (probably the master) is charging battery(ies) while the others are providing solar power to loads but not for charging. @Coulomb might confirm whether the issue still exists with the newer King II/or newer firmware (50.02)?

I can only go 30amp per each inverter and i cannot increase the values. The BMS automatically make 30amp instead of 100amp. now we returned the system back to normal with all inverters 50.02

Previously, with Axpert VMIII 5K, the inverter itself with a (Lib) battery refused to change the current, but when I tried using the app, I was able to increase the current. Give it a try, and make sure that actual solar power is enough for higher charging currents. All the best.

I haven't kept up with the King firmware issues; all I can recall is that earlier firmwares (before about 71.97 for the King I) had some issues with solar charging. I have not had a chance to compare King I and King II firmwares; they will be different enough to make this quite difficult though.

Or are you saying that in your case, actual verified charging current increased? ibrahim007's problem is that the inverter is only aware of one battery module, when he actually has four. Once that issue is sorted out, he will almost certainly have at least 240 A of charge current available (80 A per inverter), as the BMS should signal a maximum charge current of 400 A. I mean, in my case, I have a battery which uses the LIb protocol, and data connection was established well with the inverter. I cannot change it from Mobile app and from inverter itself. the problem in watch power app at laptop, there is no option for LIb battery. also in the application at mobile, i cannot see LiB type battery at master inverter. seems to me that inverter firmware has to be updated overcome this issue

Confirmed, i cannot change from pannel neither from Mobile app.

October 1, 20223 yr Just wondering if you have tried using the 'pyl' battery setting on the inverter instead of lib? It seems the taico batteries use a bms very similar to my seplos where the protocol of the CAN port can be set depending on the inverter, but it is set to pylontech protocol as default. Some people in the victron forum were struggling to get a similar taico battery working, but someone did get it set up. https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/125321/taico-bms-not-detecting-by-ccgx.html I would suggest contacting your battery supplier to get hold of the bms software mentioned in the post above and setting up PC comms over rs232. That will give you better access to manage the battery bank and bms etc. Then you will be able to see if the batteries are communicating with each other without having to rely on the inverter.

No, my architecture was different. I only had a similar problem with 30A charging and the Lib protocol. That's why I shared my experience. Unfortunately, I don't have any contact with Voltronic, but you might contact Taico so they can confirm which protocol you should use and the pins on the COM port. All the best.

Hi i will try to change the protocol to Pylo and Victron from battaries using CAN-A type communication. and check if current changing will be possible.
October 2, 20223 yr Although Pylontechs have both CAN bus and RS-485 ports, and Axpert hardware supports both, the firmware will only use RS-485 when the battery type is PYL.

I have made the cable to support both CAN and RG485 as per battery R&D: from battery side pins-4 5 6(G) from axpert inverter pins 6 7 8(G) however i missed to add the G pin in my cable can CAN protocol work without G or not. - second, do we need a terminator for batteries when we have parallel batteries connetion incase of CAN according to Taico batteries they said to work with Axpert you have to select Victron option from battery- CAN then Pylontech at inverter and try

You can also use pins 1 & 8 on the battery side instead like in the victron image. I have not used CAN, so I am not totally sure, but for RS485 you don't need a G and you also don't need terminators, yon only need 2 wires. The last image you posted from the victron forum also suggests that only 2 wires are needed for CAN. I guess this is why you had used the 'Lib' setting with the CAN cable as that probably only uses CAN. If you want to use the 'pyl' setting then you have to use RS485. If what Taico suggests doesn't work then I would try a cable with the RS485 pins from the voltronic image to RS485-1 (port B above) and select pylontech on the inverter. Hi @jumper, but you shared with me this link and it shows https://community.victronenergy.com/questions/125321/taico-bms-not-detecting-by-ccgx.html and they said they used Victorn and Pylontech from voltronic with CAN and it works. I asked Taico and they said it works. @coloumb: is saying that it should be RG485. I need a solid answer, did anyone try the same setup like my setup 3 inverter Axperts king 2 with 4 Taico batteries or not? i need a solid solution to solve my issue, trying and trying, no one is telling something solid. do I need Firmware? do i need RG485 or CAN? do I need Poly, LIB or other from inver? do I need Victron, Darfon or any other setting from Taico? why Taico does not test such setup at their end and close the story?!!!!!
