Hello @Coulomb, i tried twice with usb OTG method and all seemed to work since the first led on the left was bleeping for 15 minutes and then went back to the main display but in the display panel i still got 72.03. The only oddity is that after returning back to the main (after it supposedly flashed the fw) no button worked and i needed to reboot the inverter. after that the inverter is working ok but still no fw update Edited October 27, 20232 yr by sugar0

That's expected; the display has room for 3 digits on each line, but only shows 2. Check with Watchpower (PC or app) or any other monitoring software for the full version number.

Since i have the cable now i try the serial method.
October 29, 20232 yr hi Colombo, I tried both the first version and also the second one you gave me and the 235v works perfectly but the 250v is always 235v. loaded the firmware with 250v but it is always 235v the mppt always starts at 235v, either I did something wrong or the inverter doesn't want to start from the 250v voltage, thanks

Did you follow the instructions in the text file for copying and renaming files? This is unfortunately necessary with the older reflash tool, which is needed for '2809 processors like yours. You can also check the entire version number with monitoring software. I'm guessing that you are running the same firmware, which with the older reflash tool is always read from the file named dsp.hex. It's also possible that I screwed up and all the hex files are identical. I'll go check later.

Hello, i indeed correctly updated from 72.03 to 272.66 and i noticed an improvement yesterday morning with the voltage ramp. There were 4 panels with 38VOC x410w mounted but in the afternoon i added another 4 panels in series and i can tell that the max production was not really great. It's not easy to tell from the graph because there was not much light. maybe the max voltage is limited on one of the two mppt? i resemble reading something like that in the thread. The actual configuration is this: MPPT1: 3300w 38VOC 8sx410w MPPT2: 3300w 38VOC 2p6s275w(used) In the graph you can see where i added the 2 last panels around 12:10 and another 2 at 14:15ish. the light was not great but maybe evenly bad. No sun but nether really dark. What do you think @Coulomb?

Later in the day there will be sun and i will see how the South mppt perform. there's is no way that in Autumn 3300wp(used 275w) pointed esat at 18° tilt will outperform the new 3300wp facing south at 80° tilt. The sun is really low now, remember i'm at the northern emisphere in Italy 😀. do you agree? What max Voltage should i except in both the mppts? Thanks

Though maybe it's only SBU mode where you can't get grid feed-in. You may be stuck with having to use SBU output source priority. As you can see, the feed into the grid is fairly small (about 200 W max most of the time), and the higher power feed-in is only for a short period of time as the control system adapts to a sudden increase in available solar power. It seems to be a limitation of the fairly poor control systems that Voltronic use. I suspect that Voltronic considers the amount of energy pushed back into the grid to be negligible. I had to install an automatic circuit breaker that turns off the power supply to the inverter when the batteries reach 52v and engages it at 50v.
