Afternoon Guys.

busy with purchasing my hybrid system.

have a 8kw sunsynk and 5kw of panels.

i either want to purchase 2 x hubble am-2 or 2 x shoto 5kw to start off with. Both are similary priced as i have contacts for both.

which is the better battery? I have read up on problems on both.

my installer recommends shoto as that is what he normally uses.

thanks

especially when paired with Sunsynk. Other Inverters too but most troubles were that combo.

Well I think that's probably the most common combination. Indeed I wonder if the most popular combionation in SA right now is Sunsynk and [fill in battery name].

I always think that inverter and battery should be considered as a combination. They need to get on nicely with each other.

Coming back to the original question, I think there is value in going with what your installer regularly uses. You can expect that he has a good relationship with that company, can access various support functions more easily than you can, and that he has familarity with those products. Sure, he's getting a cut of the action, but his relationships and knowledge should (if he's not a fly by night) add value and make the process smoother if you don't have the technical skills to do it yourself.

HI there has anyone heard anything about the Dyness batteries as i want to install a 8 KWH Deye inverter with 2x 5KWEH batteries .

Please also advise on whom is the best priced and where to get these  .

Dyness is decent, similar to Pylontech. Just noting that both are 0.5C discharge so if you only have battery then you are limited to a max discharge power of 50% total capacity (2.5kw on a 5kw battery) - you can still go through the whole 5kwh of battery storage

I have 3 of the A48100 model and haven't had an issue in the 18months we've had the system

clarified the 0.5C
