February 27, 20233 yr Hi all, I have the above switch. Will it be OK on my 3kW geyser? It is 20A so assuming it will be Ok Thanks
February 27, 20233 yr I have been using one for almost a year now with zero issues on a 3.2kw element. Switches on and off midday every day like clockwork directed from my nodered control via mqtt.
February 27, 20233 yr Author Very impressive charts. Thanks for that confirmation, I ordered 3 and will be flashing them with Tasmota as well. 2 Geysers and one pool pump. Then just waiting for someone to install my solar system. Seems everyone is to busy at the moment.
March 9, 20233 yr Hi, You can definitely use a Sonoff POWR320D on a Geyser's up to 3Kw elements. Its all about a good installation and the termination of the cable's into the Sonoff. Aleks
March 10, 20233 yr Author I flashed them with Tasmota, and they are both installed (2 geysers). Works perfectly with my home assistant.

April 18, 20233 yr Would it be ok for a 4kw geyser? Its 20amps, so assuming the geyser is what 16/17amps... or is that cutting it too close and rather go for the POW R3?
April 18, 20233 yr Hi, I would definitely go for a POWR3. Also recomend installation in the DB if there is space or next to the DB and not in the roof as the heat in the South Africa roof is above the operating temprature of the POWR3. Aleks
April 21, 20233 yr I also use a POWR3, but instead of flashing it with Tasmota, I already have a Home Assistant with HACS and the Sonoff Plugin. All functionality already present with the advantage of using the eskom se push api where you use the automation to turn on the geyser at strategic times.
May 3, 20233 yr Sorry to necro this thread but I need some direction to install this with an isolator, it's the double Neutral that has me asking questions instead of just steaming ahead and installing. Current install has the Geyser switch feeding an isolator switch which the feeds the geyser. Edit : I read the instructions instead of just staring at the switch, imagine my suprise when the instructions clearly indicated how to install the switch 🤭 Edited May 3, 20233 yr by RiddeledCorpse Solution Found
