I'm in the process of completing my sseg application and looking for assistance from those who has done this before. Please see my attached diagram as i see that it is a requirement. Please advise if it is correct or am i missing anything. My applicaton will be for OFF-GRID (separated and not interconnected with electrical installation). Your help will be appreciated.

Off-Grid means you not connecting to GRID at all , no changeover needed and no Incoming COCT

Your drawing is showing STANDBY SSEG with Grid support

Thanks for the info. So i will need to ammend my application to standyby sseg with grid support as its definately getting power from the grid as well. I will have a look at your link.

Add more info on the change over switch or transfer process to prove the connection is setup as passive , the connection only switches over on grid loss

they can request site visit to check the hydrid inverter is not setup as grid tied

A comment I had after submitting an application to CoCT was that an Earth Leakage breaker must be fitted to protect plug circuits supplied by the inverter.

This must come after the changeover switch so the same plug circuits have earth-leakage protection 

The electrical contractor who prepared the drawing did not know how to wire this since the earth-leakage neutral is different from the lighting and stove neutral.  The inverter neutral uses this neutral

If your electrical contractor did not know this, then I would look for somebody else.

I have had 2 guys here who tell me the same thing

The municipal power earth-leakage controls plugs attached to the unit

The inverter power earth-leakage controls plugs attached to the inverter

But the lighting circuit is not on earth-leakage

The problem arises using the 2-pole changeover switch.  This shunts the AC input of the inverter to the output from the inverter and disconnects the AC input

When the changeover is in the municipal power mode, the inverter's earth leakage is not in circuit (and neither is the municipal power earth leakage)

Single Line Diagram must not be a block Diagram. See cocT examples

On e-services if it was done online.

My father submitted his while they still took emailed applications, just under 2 years to allow commissioning and there was 0 way to track it.

My application was smooth so far. Sparky did initial application, I installed the system, he came through and connected everything up and gave it all a look over, issued COC, Engineer came out and spent a whole 5 minutes, noted 1 thing that needed to be changed which was promptly done, and he's now submitted his documents.
