Hi. Please help. I have a mecer 5kva inverter and a mecer pylontech lithium battery. I can't find the settings on my inverter for the bms communication from the battery to the inverter. Can anyone help with the program setting number please. Tia

I suggest posting a picture of your setup so that the people can see what cables you have plugged in where and what battery you have.Mecer or pylontech.?

@Rudbot what batteries do you have.Is it Pylontech or Mecer batteries.

Mecer5kva inverter cannot be connected directly to Pylontceh batteries.You have to get software like Solarassistant and connect to a Rasp pi. You can get a demo on their website.Solar-assistant.io

I dont have info on the Mecer batteries.Remember also to set the charging current settings No 2 and no11 and equalization settings No 33-37. Lituim batteries do Not get equalized.

Unfortunately, there are many inverter models that fit that description.

As mentioned above, some models don't have this ability. If yours does not have a removable or round display, then it probably doesn't have an RS-485/CAN bus port, which is needed to talk to the battery's BMS. Or the necessary firmware to support the battery BMS protocol.

If present, it will be later values for setting 05, battery type. After AGM, FLD, and USE, there should be settings like PYL, WEC, etc. To choose the right protocol, you have to find out what protocol the Mecer battery actually uses. Sadly, a quick search did not reveal the answer.
