December 21, 20232 yr I notice a major electrical multi branch seller are selling complete PV kits including AC and DC DBs complete with equipment. In this picture one can see the battery fuses are rated for AC use.
December 21, 20232 yr Have you tried calling them out on this issue? I once had an installer shaft me & install electrical cables instead of DC cables & no MC-4 connectors on my first install. I had to rewire my panels & put correct breakers🤦🏼♂️ Edited December 21, 20232 yr by Moffat

I have replaced a lot with Keto or Merson fuse disconnect due to the fact that the 22 x 58 fuse holders are always getting hot with moderate to high current discharge. Even worse that they are not even DC rated.
December 21, 20232 yr @TaliaB what size Keto Fuse disconnector would be suitable for a 5kw Sunsynk Inverter with a BSL Battery 51.2V 135AH 7kwH?

December 21, 20232 yr @TaliaB sorry to keep asking but why do they have 3 parts, yet battery will have Negative & Positive terminals. Are we saying the 3rd part is for ground from the battery? Edited December 21, 20232 yr by Moffat

December 21, 20232 yr 34 minutes ago, Moffat said: why do they have 3 parts The 3-pole design of this disconnect switch means that it can be used to control three separate electrical circuits at once. This feature can be useful in battery systems where multiple circuits need to be controlled simultaneously.

December 22, 20232 yr @TaliaB What is your opinion on the Onesto fuse disconnectors? Edited December 22, 20232 yr by TheMac

You used a handle to remove/insert.

Look you get what you pay for they around~R200 where the Mersen is R1.6k but much better quality. I never saw or heard of Onesto disconnect completely fail but they have the tendency to break the holder clips what keeps the fuse in position and as a result when you isolate 1 fuse stay behind.
