January 18, 20242 yr I need to install a three phase system of 24KW. Would 3X8KW inverters do the same job as 1x24KW unit. Mounting space is not a problem and the 8KW units is already available, Is their any cons installing three units instead of one?

I have done single phase Sunsynks and like the symplicity, This will be my first 3phase Sunsynk setup. I have been contemplating for a while now whether 1x3ph unit or 3xsingle ph units. I think I'm also toward the 3xunits but can still be convinced otherwise if I can find good reason.

January 19, 20242 yr I'd go for 2x12kW over 3x8kW because you have redundancy, and you have 12kW per phase, where with the 3x8 you only have 8kW per phase. I can't find specs on the 24kW unit you refer to, do you have a link?

There is a new kid on the block SMA Sunny Tripower 25kW Three Phase Grid Tied Inverter @Gerrieplease try it we need some feedback very renowned inverter in Europe and America. They also have an exchange program in stead of repairing the faulty unit and waiting 5 weeks if you are lucky lately happening with Sunsynk.
January 19, 20242 yr Here is the new kid. I would love to install a SMA and compare it to Sunsynk and Deye. https://gwstore.co.za/product/sma-sunny-tripower-25kw-three-phase-grid-tied-inverter/?gclid=Cj0KCQiA2KitBhCIARIsAPPMEhJfOiCNrZNh7Qimfp20OBfsRJOU_VkYSrk71ACOlc-NqG9L1EGixOcaAoXEEALw_wcB Edited January 19, 20242 yr by TaliaB

They also cannot do unbalanced output, so not ideal for residential.

You still need another inverter for solar, as those are battery only.

Essentials = All office plugs, lights and security lights, Server room, camera's, electric fences, gate motors and fridges. (Must have battery backup) Non Essentials = Geysers, Factory machines and factory plugs and AC's. (All Non Essentials will still have generator back-up though)
