Solar panel mounting on IBR

Hi Guys

I need to mount 4 panels on a Poly-carbonate IBR roof.

What type of mounting do you recommend ?

I ask such a strange question because there are no "Solar Shops" within 100Ks, so I cant just go to the shop and ask.

Much appreciated

Some side fastened brackets is a no go for your roof.

I guess a type of hanger bracket could perhaps be used. Here I think we must ask the installers for their view.

Thanks for the information.

The roof is mounted on wooden rafters.

One more question.

Do I bolt rails to the hanger bolts or are there clamps that attach directly to the bolts ?

Cheers

What about a couple of m of P2000 rail? It is mostly available from electrical suppliers.

You can mount it to the rafters with threaded bar and it will make that the poly sheets can expand under the panels.

Nb if you make a hole in the poly sheet, make it a as big as possile as long as long as it doesn't stick out under the washer. A 6.6m long poly sheet"s expansion is enough to break tec screws when it gets cold.

To stop the plate from ratting I put a piece of conduit, cut to length under the ridge with just enoug tension so that the sheet can float.
