Hi Guys

I have 5kVA synerji inverter now an then I get the following fault code

03 Battery voltage is too high

08 Inverter bus voltage is too high 

56 ??

 

please assist 

 

 

 

I think something like the following is happening;

• the PV system is supplying loads and charging batteries,
• then a high AC load exceeds the inverter happy place causing the system to switch to grid (until the load drops again),
• the system then dumps the momentary excess PV capacity into the batteries,
• causing the battery voltage to spike while the MPPT adjusts to the lower requirement.

I wouldn't be too concerned until you see smoke.

Also, it's a work-alike (not quite a complete clone) of a Voltronic Power Axpert; see this topic. @Chris Hobson had one for a short time, and he has a video review in that topic. He is familiar with how this type of inverter is supposed to work, and was not impressed. So: it may just be poor design and build quality, unfortunately.

IF (and it's a big IF) the Synerji inverters are using the same fault codes as the Voltronic Power Axperts, then fault code 56 means "battery connection is open". Is it possible that you have a loose connection or blackened fuse contact between the battery and the inverter?

The 08 error may follow from the 03 error, since there is a fixed ratio between the battery voltage and the inverter bus voltage, in your case of possibly 8.0:1, so bus voltage will be 8x the battery voltage. When the battery voltage exceeds 62.5 V, the bus voltage will then exceed 500 V, and this will trigger a fault code 08. There is a buck stage between the 8x battery voltage and the bus voltage, but I think it's only in effect when utility charging the battery, otherwise it's effectively "pass through".

Thanx , I have installed 102Ah batteries , the previous ones where about 12Ah.I have not experienced that and it is about a month now.

How do you test the system for Coc e.g Pscc and Loop . I believe the other tests are the same as normal coc for utility?

Oh. That will do it. Even 102 Ah is still a bit small for a 5 kVA inverter, if lead acid.

I have a 3kva Synerji Inverter and its displaying error code 73. The solar panels are no longer charging the AGM battteries that are on the system. How do I troubleshoot the problem?

On a 5 kVA Axpert, this would mean inconsistent output voltage settings in a system with paralleled inverters. But I assume that your 3 kVA model doesn't allow paralleling.

If it does, then it will have an AC output mode setting (setting 28 on an Axpert 5 kVA). Make sure that's set to the equivalent of SnG.

But if the only problem you're having is the lack of solar charging, that's most unlikely to be the problem. Can you find a Synerji user manual and look up the error/fault code? A service manual would be even better; they often have troubleshooting guides based on error codes. But clone/work-alike makers often don't publish service manuals. It's hard enough to get them for Voltronic originals (likely due to the prevalence of clones).

I don't think so. The main seller of Synerji in SA, Herholdt’s Group, buys them from Voltronic. I don't think Voltronic would sell their own competitors product. You confirmed the product label of my Synerji MKS 5K to look like a genuine Voltronic (built April 2019, firmware 74.40). It looks more like Voltronic sells their products with various names. The Synerji user manual is a copy paste of the downloaded Axpert manual.

Hmmm. My post is from nearly two years ago, and I believe that they were clones or work-alikes then. But some of the clone makers seem to have gone legit. Or the owner of the brand got tired of problems with the cheap clones and switched to Voltronic.

Synapse (I get them mixed up wiSynerji) seem to have done the same. I'm glad to see it. Voltronic aren't the best quality, but the clones are generally much worse. One gets what one pays for, up to a point. 

Good day, i have a 5kv Synergi Inverter with Gelbatteries connected, can i replace them with Lithium lio batteries, is Synergi Inverter compattible with Lithium Lio batteries,

Welcome to the forum. I assume you mean a 5 kVA Synerji inverter. But there are probably many models of these. Please give a model number that we can search for.

Many Synerjis are similar or identical to Axperts, and some of those can talk directly to the battery BMS, and some cannot.

The good news is that either way, you can still use the Synerji with any lithium battery, it's a matter of how automatic the process will be, and whether you will need a special cable, or monitoring software / Raspberry Pi, or settings.

I'm not familiar with Lio, is that a brand name?

I have tried Watch Power which work perfect with my 3kva Mecer, and tried Solar Power but nothing.
