I am not ashamed to say i was part of "Spoorweg" South African Railway Services" top notch in our day's.. As i remember correctly at first 1995~ Telecommunications was stationed in Braamfontein and Electrical(Dc) and Signals in Langlaagte. The training was done in Esselenpark and Koedoespoort. It was called " School of Rail" proud to have been part of it"

Yes a method I have used a lot for about over 8A. Don't like too high currents with voltage drop through me leads. My favourite is 2 brass screws on the lid with the sjunt inside the enclosure.
July 3, 20242 yr Author For the record, the resolution to this problem was a firmware update from Segen Solar. Rather frustrating waste of time. Thank you all for your help. I (foolishly) assumed that on checking their firmware upgrade site was out of action that they would at least be shipping new inverters up to date or close to. As a btw: When we tried the solar panel test, not sure what went wrong but when we flipped the fuse off it failed/caught fire. Edited July 3, 20242 yr by martinmcg
