March 16, 20251 yr Has anyone been using one of these Smart Switches (EWELINK WIFI Smart Circuit Breaker Type Timer - 63A with Power KWh Monitoring - Ewelink Smart App - Geyser Timer)? I have used it successfully for a long time. Today I got a message that there was a new firmware version for it. I installed the new version, and now the switch does not work correctly. Anyone have similar issues? Thanks!!
March 17, 20251 yr Good morning,I have the exact same issue, since Friday. I tried everything, re-pairing with the app, resetting the device, taking it out, te-installing, nothing works. I have two identical circuit breakers, only one had an update. After the update I can't even turn it on manually. The one that didn't have the update is still working 100%I opened a ticket on Ewelinks' support site but they haven't come back to me yet.
March 17, 20251 yr Author Thanks for the reply! I have also logged a call - Hope something can be done. I have called an electrician to come and bypass so I can at least turn my geyser on. Please update this thread if you get any help or a solution. Thanks!!
March 17, 20251 yr Same here, I have 3 of them and only two stopped working that had a firmware update to v3.6.1
March 17, 20251 yr I reached out to my supplier, this is the reply:"EWeLink has confirmed they are aware of the issue and busy with recovery. The technical team at eWeLink is currently undergoing maintenance. There is a minor issue with the upgrade package. Problem being attended to"I will keep you posted
March 17, 20251 yr Author I believe new firmware release is available now. Verison 3.6.3 - I have not tested it yet.

March 17, 20251 yr No firmware listed for my one yet. Still on 3.5.0, will wait and see but can I ask that once its published can someone just give feedback if this resolved their issue. Will be highly appreciated. Also just realized I have 49 other devices that have firmware updates pending, guess I know what I'm doing tonight 😅
March 17, 20251 yr It seems like they have sorted out the issue. My faulty one was automatically updated to 3.6.3 and now works. The other one is still on 3.5.0 with no update showing.

March 18, 20251 yr Logged a ticket(feedback) last night for one of the two units on the Ewelink app because none was showing the new firmware update, got a reply just after 4 this morning that the unit was updated automatically but the downside of the new firmware is that you will lose all the history of the unit on the Ewelink app.Switched on the second unit again this morning and the new firmware showed up as available to download. Updated the second unit with out any issues. Edited March 18, 20251 yr by DieITou
March 18, 20251 yr HI All, thanks for this forum! - I really thought I was going crazy, and the units had died. All 3 units were on 3.5.0 - 2 were available to be updated to 3.6.0 and once they were updated - then they were bricked - didn't even turn on manually. Removed these 2 and bypassed to normal DB isolator. The 3rd one is on 3.5.0 and is showing update to 3.6.0. which obviously I don't want to do.How do you get the 3.6.3 version to be available? Or just wait until that update shows up as the current update. Thanks All!
March 18, 20251 yr Author Its already available - I had also bypassed the switch - put it back to normal. The eWelink app saw the device again and offered the update to 3.6.3. I applied it and all is good again!

March 18, 20251 yr Author Yes - appears that all history has been lost for me. Others may also confirm???
March 18, 20251 yr See 3.6.0 just popped up on mine. Guessing I need to skip this and wait for 3.6.3 or later.

March 18, 20251 yr I just notice that under the type column mine is listed as PSF-X67 see others here have the PSF-B67. Probably just same unit sold under different branding (e.g. this is a Red Pole unit). But will rather skip this firmware until the next one just to be safe

March 19, 20251 yr Just a follow up.My app wasn't showing the update. I switched mains off on the DB, removed device etc. Work around, and the most simple route.Press the power button (5 seconds) - not hard reset - on the switch to reset it will disconnect from app and show offline in your app. Leave it like that for 20min, and if you are patient leave it longer. Once done, it will show online in your app. All done. It would have updated to the latest version 3.6.3If you have an android device, go to app clear cache, restart the phone, update will show in the app.On ios, there's no way except to delete the app, I wont suggest this as you will lose history and will need to set up all your lights/switches etc all over again, please do the 1st method.
May 8, 20251 yr I've had the same issue, it was not updating to the latest version, it would come up with a fail to upgrade error during the upgrade process.I then deleted the circuit breaker from my ewelink however now I cannot paid the breaker - it does not pick it up even when I try to add in compatibility mode.Any suggestions?
