They just shouldn’t be in living spaces and be in an outbuilding? I’m curious what the regulations say.I ask because wouldn’t most fire issues be avoided if the batteries are installed next to a firewall away from living spaces and away from flammable objects?Lithium doesn’t catch fire. It just generates a ton of heat which burn things around it. That’s what I saw from my research.

I’m curious what the regulations say.There are not any regulation in SA( Sans) that prohibit the installation of lfp in living area's. For that matter afaik there aren't any country which outright bans indoor use of lifepo4 batteries although new BS(British Standards)for battery storage systems restrict installation in sleeping areas and near escape routes, emphasizing safe placement.
