Calculate How long a Pylontech will last

Featured Replies

Hi all

So the normal Gel and lead acids are all rated  Amp / Hour

so easy to work our how long they will last if you pull say 500watt at any time.

but with the Pylontech's. They work tad different.

with say 2 x US2000's which are 2400Kw each, how do I do this math ?

Friday moment, my brain not working...

The US2000 = 2.4KWh, 2 = 4,8 @ 80% = 3,8

500watt load = 0,5KWh

Just get the units right...

500W times one hour is 500Wh, as you said.

Battery is 2400Wh, but you usually want to cycle it to only 80%, so 2000Wh.

2000Wh/500W = 4 hours.

If the inverter is only 90% efficient, then more like 3.5 hours.

So my pessimistic math works out almost half of yours.... sorry 🙂

... not exactly, as I gave 2 x US2000's... each 2400Wh aka 2.4 KWh

Aaaah! Well then yes, we both get around 7 hours 🙂

With lead acid you would also have to take into account the peukert factor. Ain't LFP grand!

Hello friends

I have a question. How long should my system last if 2 x US2000 pylontech are connected to 3 x Sunny islands inverter, 1 x sunny power PV inverter 10kw, router and SMA data manager?

Please note power consumption note on standby mode:

3 x sunny island inverter (26w)

1 x sunny power PV inverter 10kw (29w)

Router (10w)

SMA data manager (15w)

Please also note that no appliance conneted.

On the system it shows that batteries are discharging 24w at night but i am losing 1% after every 30minutes with no appliances connected.

What might be the problem? How long must the system last if it shows discharging 24w at night?

Your numbers don't add up. You say that idle use is 24W, but the components you've listed are 80W.

Anyway, 1% of your 4.8kWh battery is 48Wh. In other words your battery is providing 48W average draw per hour, and hence depleting by 48Wh each hour.
