Battery monitor china BMV 702

Featured Replies

I am thinking of ordering the battery monitor from china BMV 702 fangpusun.

Has anyone used this monitor and and think they are any good. I need two of them so the price difference is quite huge from the other brands. I will use them on 48V / 120AH gel batteries. They go for about R1000 online.

Give Setsolar a call. They stock fangpusun stuff.

Thanks for that... they should be expecting a call from some lawyers soon...

Ok, it depends somewhat. Fangpusun copies from all over the place. Stecca, Outback, Victron. Each manufacturer deals with this in its own way, but Victron takes this rather seriously. Fangpusun not only steals sales... they sell an inferior product (often an older version too) that reflects badly on the brand and increases support load (because Fangpusun buyers actually call Victron support!). Additionally, they get the benefit of newer firmware without paying one cent towards it (besides... I would not take a chance upgrading my firmware if I bought Fangpusun... the copied serial numbers are well known).

Just don't buy Fangpusun. And don't support sellers who sell it.

And that's why i will not support them because you don't get backup for this sort of stuff. Burned my fingers with a clone inverter so I rather support something with n brand name with a backup.
