Gerlach got a reaction from DeonBez in Axpert error code 09Hi @Coulomb , I think i founded the problem. So I Strip the motherboard out and check the underside, and i think i founded the problem. Q10 that is BSX53. You can see in the photos that it looks suspect. I check your drawing and thanks again for posting it. It really help.
I think to replace Q9 to just for in case to.

Gerlach got a reaction from DeonBez in Axpert error code 09YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy dans!!! Got it sorted. Called some places and voltronics and voltronics was really nice. Ask them some questions and i Informed them that i will be opening the inverter to inspect. So this afternoon I switch on the inverter but disconnect the batteries from it, it starts up and bypass go's on from 230v in and out. Connect batteries, relay clicks and fans kicks in and then 10sec error 9 pops up. lets test solar side. Disconnect batteries, connect solar, switch 230v in on, inverter switch on, fans kicks in, connect batteries, batteries start charging from solar side, switch on output side of 230v, 10sec error 09 pops up. solar is still charging but no power output. HHHmmmmmm
So i open the inverter to inspect. Everything looked ok inside and nothing burned or IGBTs and/or MOSFETs blown up. Pulled the mother board to check if everything is ok and cleaned the pins, plug it everything in and guess what, it starts up and charging and do things it must do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for everyone help and input!!!

Gerlach got a reaction from Clynton in DIY Lifepo4 16s 272ampIf you guys are looking for 280ah lifpo4 sells and JBD bms, I got someone that imports local. Jaco is importing direct from the manufacturer. 2nd shipment is on it's way. There is already a bunch of this bms floating around in SA that he have imported and sells.

Gerlach got a reaction from Gnome in DIY LifePO₄ Battery@Gnome thanks for the feedback. I waiting for your feedback in the few weeks when you got your setup up and running.
Ooooooo yes. Just to add, I got a 35kwh lifepo4 diy storage storage and in the diy lifepo4 game more then 3 years, so I know my way arround the stuff and how it work. Watching videos and playing with the real stuff is two different games 😉
Enjoy the adventure.

Gerlach got a reaction from Tim003 in DIY Lithium/LifePo4 battery buildOOooooo yes. I forgot to add photos. Over the lockdown time I got my second setup up and running. My second BMS I order got stuck with the lockdown "it's still stuck in at JHB HUB", so I ordered a 3de one via Courier with a friend in lockdown level 4. My first lifepo4 setup is running 200 days know and the second one 40days, no problems. Planning to add 3de setup when I can get my hands on that BMS that is stuck in JHB.

Gerlach reacted to JustinSchoeman in Justin's DIY batteryWell, I finally twisted Jaco's arm into a non-blue install, and the results are beautiful...
With the whole house as a dummy load, I also got a chance to properly test the battery and assorted bits.
Load peaked at 11kW before the geyser controller managed to turn the geyser off, and then stabilised at around 8kW, with 195A draw from the batteries. After around 10 minutes, batteries, terminals and connecting plates were all still at room temperature. The wires connecting to the inverter were however a few degrees warmer. Glad I did not go smaller than the 70mm^2 I eventually settled on. (I have 2x 95mm^2 wires in parallel for joining the banks - and these wires also stayed cool.)
All in all, it has turned out to be a successful experiment so far.
Been off grid for 15 hours so far, and hope to stay that way pretty much indefinitely.

Gerlach reacted to ___ in Recommend me some batteries for solar to replace existing lead acid deep cycleYou can however configure the Peukert factor on the BMV to make it work with LFP batteries. Just set it to 1.05 (or even to 1.00 to disable it), instead of the usual 1.2 or 1.25 for lead acid.

Gerlach got a reaction from Energy-Jason in [wanted] power monitor/recorderOther option is the Shelly EM. It runs wifi, upload via cloud so you van connect to it via app, website or log into the IP. Keeps log , hour, days Nd months and year and you export data. You can connect it with Grafana to. It runs 2 clamps and gets it's power from AC in your DB so it works Power Factor in to.

Gerlach got a reaction from ___ in DIY LifePO4 16s 48v bank and Multi-II - So many questionsHi @smurfdbn sorry for the late responds. Got a new born in the house so now need to put my attention with him till i get time to post.
To respond on your question, I founded charging on this settings my inverter and mppt worked at the best for my combination. I just check now, my 1ste battery is running 212 days now with out problems. In the beginning I kept a constant eye doing adjustments till i founded that the best spot was 54.6v on bulk and 53.6v float. Solar MD is using the same settings on there units.
I see you using a DALY bms with your build with a Victron. @plonkster knows the background of problems TTT had with his Victron system with a DALY bms and 150ah lifepo4s. He had a problem where if the battery gets full and the bms switches the charge fits off, then there is a spike, because he was running hi charging volts. I told him to turn it down. Then there is this ripple errors he keeps getting. It happens when the battery is fully charge, charging Fit's will close, system will idol, then when there is demand on the inverter for a short birst, the mppt will supply the demand but the Fits on the the bms is still open because the Fits only close on 3.55 volts. Just to short, so know the mppt sits with a bunch of power that runs between the inverter and mppt up and down till it calms down.
I did a test on my system were it turn it up with 1.5v on Bulk and charge and kept a eye, and boy oooooooo boy!!! The inverter was super unhappy and the mppt because the when the Fit's close on the bms, I got Volt spike to 60v on the mppt and inverter side and the mppt resets the MPPT volt sweep, sounded like electrical fence. I turned my settings back to my old settings and my system run normal again, so i'm staying on this, and i'm running 2 sets of lifepo4's with there own BMS and 2 mppts.
Other thing that i founded, if you charge the bank at 54.6v, fully charge you can leave and it will drop all the way on 53.8v and stay there for days.
This is my findings and my DIY is running with out problems.
