Installation in a cupboard

Featured Replies

When I bought my system, it was not possible to put it any of the outbuildings, it had to go in the main house, and I didn't really fancy having the batteries etc as a conversation piece (we don't have a garage that actually adjoins the house). The solution was to install in what used to be the linen cupboard.

So here we go - Goodwe inverter and the Revov battery pack. The circuit breakers are mounted in two boxes inside the cupboard to the right.

You mean in terms of bucks per kwh stored, ie measured over the whole cycle life?

I haven't yet decided how I feel about these batteries. On the one hand, I like the idea: I always knew this was going to happen (batteries from cars that can no longer go the full distance will obviously do fine in a house where you can just use twice as many of them, since weight is not a concern). On the other hand... it has to be dependable, and it has to be cheaper than new... or it is dead in the water.
