October 25, 20178 yr I think @SolarNoob has made an error with his array size, and it is actually double what has been set up on PVoutput. He has set up an array of 24x 105Wp = 2520Wp, but seems to reach that value at around 07h45 in the morning, whereafter generation exceeds array capacity by a factor of about 50% (3.7kW just after 9am!)... ...and reaches an efficiency factor of almost 10 (24.237kWh on a 2.52kW array) despite only producing about 50 to 60% of the full system potential as seen in the above graph from PVoutput - where his generation has fallen off from the peak of 3776W once the batteries are fully charged at around 09h05. I ran a test on my own system last week to see if I could do anything to approach those numbers by wringing out almost every last drop of available PV energy... ...as you can see the PV bell curve is almost perfect so I did a great job if I say so myself I produced 41.76kWh at an efficiency factor of 6.735 which is my all time record by a considerable margin! Before starting the test I re-aligned the panels to the best angle for PV production on the day, and as you can see from the graph it was a great PV day weather wise. Oddly enough I reached 2500kW output at 07h40, almost exactly the same time as Solar60 - and at 09h00 I was generating 4250W, a little bit higher but with panels setup perfectly for the day. So the above leads me to believe that the Solar60 array is more likely around 24x 250W = 6kW, which would make much more sense!
