May 26, 20215 yr You can definitely mix. From my experience, have the latest firmware loaded to ensure backward compatibility.
May 27, 20215 yr In terms of space, UP5000 has an advantage over the others... more energy storage per "square meter".... but in that same breath, if a battery fails, then you also temporarily lose that energy storage. Edited May 27, 20215 yr by PurePower
May 27, 20215 yr the 3000c is R16,100 at Solaradvice and the lowest price on the 5000 seems to be R22,813
May 27, 20215 yr I believe the 5000 is a five year warranty and the 3000 is a seven year, can be extended for another three on registration

At R22813, that works out to around R5940.89 per kWh. The US3000c on the other hand will give you 95% of 3.5 kWh = 3.325kwh. At R16100, that works out to R4842.11 per kWh. To me the US3000c is still a better buy. Cheaper, longer warranty, more cycles. The UP5000 manual says it can discharged to 95% just like the US3000C. So that changes your calcs.
May 27, 20215 yr The 7 vs 5 year warranty is enough for me to stick with the US3000C. Edited May 27, 20215 yr by PurePower
