Hi, can you explain what you mean by it needs to be done twice? The same toggle just twice, or do the same thing somewhere else in the configuration?

I want to change output source. Ie from solar to utilty. The option is there in configuration in SA but no changes are made on the inverter.

EDIT : PROBLEM MOSTLYSOLVED. TURNS OUT THE ROUTER WAS CONSTANTLY CHANGING THE IP ADDRESS OF THE RASPBERRY EVERY TIME POWER FAILED. FYI: SA does not control your inverter fully. I've been trying to change output source priority in SA to no avail. Got an email this morning from Pierre at support saying the software is not supposed to change how the inverter behaves, it can only change certain values. Im thinking here he means say battery volts etc. Thought this would be useful to people thinking about buying it. The graphs and data are great though. And for R900 not so bad.

I was having a similar issue. Customer service isn't that great. He didn't know basic things about their own software. After hours or this and that I ended up changing my SSID to one word only. (The tech guy said this would not make a difference.) Before it was two words. This solved it. I don't believe it likes spaces.

the Pi Zero W & W2 have Wifi

Anyone else have trouble controlling their Voltronic / axpert inverter from Solar Assistant. It's pulling data wonderfully however a simple change in output priority yields niks.

It's the W. I wasn't able to get ahold. Of the W 2 which is faster. The original zero has no W - which I believe stands for wifi. It has 2 micro USB ports. One I use for power other for the comms.

For solar assistant I'm using the pi zero w. Seems to be working fine so far. Home assistant i have on an 8th Gen i3 laptop

So i see some folks are able to get switches for the inverter in HA. I have an axpert/voltronic and only shows sensors. I did see this on the solar-assistant website - which could possibly be a means to controlling an axpert from HA. Does anyone know where this code goes? I simply would just like to setup an automation that changes from solar to utility 2 hours before loadshed kicks in.

It's becoming clear I'm not very good at setting automation. In saying that I would be greatful to get advice or the setup on how to have the laodshedding add on in the HACS store trigger my camera. The problem isn't auctioning the camera but more so to get the condition to tell loadshedding add on to do xyz when loadshedding is on. I can't seem to find the on/off attribute for the add on. Seems simple but beyond me

Have a smallish inverter and solar setup and looking to optimize via software. Does anyone know if its possible to set an automation in Home Assistant via Solar Assistant for instance: When PV input drops below 50w, within 2 hours of load shedding, to charge battery via utility only? Guess the main thing here is does SA allow these sorts of changes via HA? Many thanks

That would of been awesome I'm in knysna though. I did have a look the other day at the ESP way. Looks fun I however don't have much experience in coding and worried I might put myself down a rabbit hole. Another one option I thought was buying solar assistant software for R700 and a raspberry Zero W 2 for R350. Would this option be easier in your opinion or should I just try out the esp route? Hi Scoobs Im quite novice however have just setup Ha on an old laptop. I have a voltronic vm 1000 inverter and diy 12v battery with Daly bms(not smart old one). I would love to connect each one to HA. I saw some stuff on the ESP website to possibly monitor the battery however first prize would be to start with the inverter and get HA to read it. Will save me lots of trips outside to view what's going on. Do you know of any integrations for this type of inverter? Many thanks

I recently bought the EZVIZ C8W Pro 2K - and was hoping it would continuely survey/scan my front yard. Its 340 degree rotation however it seems one can only pan and Tilt manually. There is also an option for 12 preset camera views one can save however one has to manually select a view for the camera to go there. Does anyone have a workaround in perhaps home assistant that could make it continuously scan the area. Or perhaps know how to turn this feature on in the ezviz app? Thanks in advance

I have been thinking about order some batteries for a while. I can agree a lot with @Raj35 regarding having everything go through aliexpress or alibaba as you are safer. If there are others here keen on a group order maybe we can do something together. I need to upgrade my setup at some point.

From what I've read be clear about what you importing and a copy of your ID helps. This was info from 4yrs ago though. What are you looking at buying?
