They updated the battery and I was promptly out of the country for two weeks, then back for a week that all looked good, then I travelled again, but upon checking both via loadshedding, and the Inverter running off battery during the night, all looks good. I have no idea on the 110ah vs 105ah argument (above my skill set) but I'm getting the hours and percentages that make sense to me, and it looks like the firmware is good. I want to add another battery, and I'm satisfied enough (currently) to call up Steve here on PowerForum and order another AM-2. Granted, the red flags on alternate chemistry of the batteries, the changing ah values and the double cycle counts are worrying, but I figure since it's already installed and working, I'll take the chance.
I do think however Hubble has handled this VERY poorly. Instead of turning it into a total brand win and loyalty building exercise for almost no money, they dug in and took me ranting online to solve the issue (seems solved at least, which means my pitbull of a team is chilled). But it's a small batch (apparently) and they should be hiring a team of two, giving them a branded vehicle, laptop and getting lists of where it's sold and setting a schedule to GO TO people and have it sorted. Dont put it on your installers (who already told me that they are using other batteries) or consumers. Two dudes, fuel and a car is super cheap to bury a problem, that with literally 2 people and effort could zero demand for your brand.
Build on your product, offer the right service. Hands on service. You'll kill everyone else.

People always moan about the cost of labour, but forget about maintenance been partially included in this cost.👍

I also believe in whilst I can sort myself out (resources, team, time) I'm happy to fight for those who cant. I've won a few decent cases, got roads redone, council to refund millions etc.... it's a hobby almost. 😆 Not to mention the messages I already have, it appears we could have a groundswell.... I know we've knocked heads in the past when I called their manual "poorly written" so you clearly are on the Hubble side, so I do appreciate your constructive feedback.
Okay, @Energy-Jason four Hubbles bought through Power Forum Store. Lets get them taken away and replaced with something else? I also want someone to come and remove the battery from my house in particular at that height without damaging the other parts below. The other three batteries bought by neighbours I suggested join me on this journey can be checked too.
So what do others suggest as a battery option? Freedom Won? Any issues?

I also have a great PR team I can divert for a day or two each week. Forums such as this, the solar FB groups, and other resources can VERY quickly turn it into a battery no one wants to have an installer recommend, and groundswell regarding support can make installers not want to touch it, because lets be honest, 5 trips to redo a product that should be install / forget, well, there are more reliable ones.
Lets see how tomorrow goes. My battery is installed 2,75m up and I cant simply "take it down and take it in". For something I bought and installed for a convenience when loadshedding hits. I also travel a load and my wife must have lights and the like.
I need to know where I stand, I was about to add a second or third battery but need to know if this is an issue. I get that all products have an issue from time to time, but the way / speed it's resolved here, I dont feel like I have confidence to stay committed.
@HubbleLithiumball is in your court. I'm happy to get one of my team to collect names of people in similar position, and I'm sure with a PR push on broader channels we can get that right up.

The blue line is the SOC as reported by the BMS.
The inverter was set to Lithium SOC with 20% limit in Work Mode 1.
The BMS SOC stopped battery usage at 20% - hence the flat line.
Using voltage, the estimated the SOC to be ~43%.
I've connected a KG140F coulometer display & logger http://www.junteks.com/ to the battery bank and hopefully will soon have accurate data.

What seems to happen is that the SOC value is being misreported resulting in less and less usable capacity over time.
It seems to be a BMS firmware issue.
The SunSynk does NOT use SOH values.
The SunSynk can be configured for SOC or AGM/V (Voltage).
The SOH is from the Hubble-AM2 BMS.
You need Solar-Assistant or CloudLink to view the SoH. (CloudLink has moved the SoH to a second screen)
The recommendation is to:
1) Get advice/fix from HubbleLithium (don't get advice from random people on a forum)
2) Upgrade the firmware for Hubble-AM2 (and possibly the SunSynk)
If the firmware is not forthcoming, you have the option to switch the SunSynk from Lithium SOC to to AGM/V.
To use AGM/V you will need:
I'm not sure what the 40% voltage is.

CapeTown reacted to Gerrie in COC's aren't worth poo these days!I don’t agree with the spec of live copper, I was taught the green lever is only a isolator and white lever has overload protection. If you look at the code QA-S the “S” stands for switch.
If you check CBI website than the normal overload protection breaker has the same code excluding the “S” than it has O/L protection. I think live copper has the wrong specs for the green lever on their site. The same with that earth leakage in your DB it has a green lever which is the one without O/L. The white lever has O/L and is about double the price. You can use green lever E/L but need to feed it from a white lever circuit breaker rated for the wire size.🙂

CapeTown reacted to HennieB84 in Sunsynk - CT ClampIssue has been sorted, there was a relay on the essential DB that was the problem. CT coil has to point towards the DB and inverter. On the 5kw, ins 3 and 4 are used for the coil. System is running well.

Sometimes it will draw a few Watts, and other times it will give a few Watts, this is the battery BMS and inverter communicating and changing battery states between Float, Absorption, and Equalization.

The way I read the question was how does the inverter power gets used as a preference. The inverter measures the grid frequency and voltage. This takes a few seconds. The inverter will then generate at about 1V higher and adjust it's own frequency in such a way that it's power get used up before drawing from the grid. This is measured all the time to ensure that no matter what the load is it's power is used before the grid.
Even without a CT this is how the grid tied inverter works. The CT just tries to prevent export.

CapeTown reacted to TimCam in Hubble AM-2 Connection Question1 & 2 are positive (+), and are common. Electrically they are the same point, so either one can be used.
3 & 4 are negative (-) and are also common. This is done to connect more than one battery in parallel.
Like you thought, just use 1(+) and 3(-) with one battery.
