@Delphinus Yes, indeed I'm Portuguese and very proud, that is why in this forum I don't use a "nom de plume". Thanks for the info, but I am (BC&T) before computers and transistors.
All I know is that I have a Battery with a Seplos BMS, my son has created a monitoring system using Modbus protocol for me to monitor every single parameter from the battery. See attached dashboard.
Now in order to use the same program I would have to parallel the batteries and use pack 1 and pack 2. At least that what I think.

Delphinus got a reaction from zsde in 2 x 16S 105Ah Battery in a Server Rack CaseThis is not what I had in mind but I need extra energy storage so went with the flow, have the inverter in attic but in summer it gets very hot and EVE LF105 has 4000 cycles at 25º and half at 45º so I decide to put the battery in my office inside a closet and because I have a couple of 4U server cases I build it with one to have a compact build.
This are 2 x 5.37Kw independent batteries to have full redundancy. Top and front lid is of to test temperature.
If you have any doubt just ask.

Delphinus reacted to Energy-Jason in 2 x 16S 105Ah Battery in a Server Rack CaseHi Guys. So sorry to jump in. We bringing in great cells into the country. They will be available in the new year right away .
I hope this helps.
Sincerely
Jason

Delphinus got a reaction from Energy-Jason in Dear PF CommunityThanks for having this forum I'm far so difficult to buy, but for me is the number one forum for the inverter that I use, hope you can keep the good work and manage to keep things running, I know it's not cheap in money and most important you personal time.

Delphinus got a reaction from jumper in 2 x 16S 105Ah Battery in a Server Rack CaseThey are B2A24S15P-CAN, I only found the 150A in stock and those are perfect inverter can handle 120A so I have a margin even if work with only 1 battery.
Had problems with delivery so bought 1 + 2. When I receive first one I build a 2P16 when finish, receive second BMS and separate the build.
Ignore the mess of balance wires this is a heavy build for a single person put in the top of closet at 2mt high so the plan was assemble in place. I try to do it with half of cells couldn't lift it was more than 55Kg, finally done it with only 8 cells and still too heavy, close to 40Kg done but hurt my back.

Delphinus got a reaction from Tim003 in LifePo4 cellsFor my 32 LF105 I top balance them this way, because the number of bus bar need to connect all in parallel is bigger than the number I had for series I put all I could in parallel and start to charge.
My lab power supply has only 10A so I set to 3.55V, for a low cost one probably is better to do it at 3.45 or 3.50V while they were charging I charge one with an ISDT Air8 it's not expensive and do 20A with a 12V 8A DC transformer or a 24V 4A you can fully charge one in 4h, so I manage to charge 5 in the first day, when I had no more singles I removed one at the time from the parallel and top it, if not mistaken it took 4-5 days.

Delphinus reacted to Tim003 in LifePo4 cellsThanks, I made these bus bars in hurry chasing loadshedding but I'll correct them before final assembly.

Delphinus got a reaction from Tim003 in LifePo4 cellsDon't connect the bus bars that way you must maximise contact, no angled contacts, bar to cell 1, cell 3 and over them on cell 2, 4.

Delphinus reacted to zsde in Battery barely lasts an hoursReturn it if it's still under warranty. Trust that the battery is under warranty too,
It could be that short if you regularly drained your battery below 50%. The cycle life of LA batteries reduces at exponential rates once you go below 50% regularly, which I suspect was probably the case with all the loadshedding and not enough time between loadshedding to get the battery fully charged again.

Delphinus got a reaction from SYC in 5KWh 1C Battery for SunsynkWeco advertise 100% DOD, there are no magic cells, before they also advertise active balancing but after some tear-down they change it to real time balancing.
We shouldn't buy from brands that lie to to deceive the less informed.

Delphinus reacted to Jaxone in RCD for DEYE 5 KWIn front of the inverter I have an RCD type B 0,03A and works as intended.
The Type B is imposed by local electrical company.

Delphinus got a reaction from Jaxone in CT Clamps Wire Lenght or switch to SmartMeter ?I have a distance of about 16mt and used a Panduit TX6A 10GIG 6A that also have shielded pairs and it works and I run it by side with power, load and aux cables, because of the bigger distance what I have done was to use 2 pairs in parallel (join orange with green and white orange and white green). Also I plan to use one of the remain pair to feed the 220V to activate a contactor.
On the distribution box I cut the CT cable and use 2 WAGO 221-2411 to join to the network wire.
