What silent inverter do you suggest?
Zero noise from the 5kw Sunsynk. During summer the temps did go up past 50 degrees. I did however - as a precautionary measure - install a DIY fan setup that is managed with a fan controller (temp based).

Evening base loads, what's yours?
My house idles on around 700w when most things are either off or in standby. With my new battery setup (2x 5kw) I allow the batteries to run down to 30% in the evening till next morning (9pm to 4am). A 3rd 5kw will be installed in a few weeks time so should take me through to the sun coming out the next morning. My neighbour with a similar setup idles at around 250w at night. I suppose is a lot more involved with turning things off and has less items that remain on standby.

Dyness B3 3.6kw Batteries
Market decided to pay full price. A lot of guys still use B3 batteries due to their reliability. To your point - there are other batteries available with more voltage, better looks and higher capacity - but a lot of guys don't want to fork out a large sum of money to commit to a new brand, i.e. I upgraded to 3 x Freedom Won batteries. Interesting option for Dyness battery owners, CNBM (Dyness agent) in Kyalami offer a battery assessment at no cost. My pair went in for a full assessment as well as had their firmware updated. Great offering from the team. Batteries are sold. Admin's please can you assist and close this post.

Dyness B3 3.6kw Batteries
100% - however If I was looking for a set of additional B3 batteries - I would have to look in the used market. This is exactly what I did - and could not find any available. I received a quote for a brand new battery @ R16k. I also fully appreciate that there are later models that are well priced. These are for someone that might want to add more capacity to their existing B3 battery stack. I am completely negotiable on my price.

Dyness B3 3.6kw Batteries
I have a pair of Dyness B3 batteries for sale as I've just upgraded to higher capacity batteries. Unfortunately these are end of life else I would have bought another pair of these. They are around 3 years old and still have the remaining warranties with Rectron or the main Dyness supplier in Midrand. Batteries will be in used until Thursday (10 April) - if anyone wants to see them in use. Item: Dyness B3 Batteries Age: Around 3 years Price: R9k each Payment Method Accepted: EFT/Geopayment Warranty: Remaining period of the 10 years Packaging: None Condition: They look great and have been in a battery box from day 1. Location: Johannesburg, Sunninghill Reason: B3's are end of life and I was forced to buy a different pair of batteries to get more capacity. Shipping: Local collection would be preferred. Postage/packaging at buyers cost. Collection: Ideally. Link: https://www.solarpanelenergy.co.za/p/944611/36kw-dyness-b3-lithium-ion-battery

Freedon Won Battery (eTower 5kw) - yay or nay.
Appreciate the responses. Bit the bullet and ordered a pair. I need to figure out how I can wall mount these as my current Dyness batteries are in a neat wall mounted battery box. Hoping for something similar.

Freedon Won Battery (eTower 5kw) - yay or nay.
I have a Sunsynk and Dyness B3 (2 of them) running perfectly for the longest time. Recently we have been having infrastructure issues which have left us without power for extended periods. Unfortunately the B3s (3.6kw each) only give me around 7-8 hours of run time. The B3's are no longer available and buying a pair of new ones is not an option. This sucks as my current batteries are still awesome and have 6 years left of warranty! The only other option I have is to change to a set of new batteries. Freedom Won seems like a good option but have seen mixed reviews everywhere... The option most feasible is a pair of eTower 5kw batteries. Any concerns that I should be aware of? The fact that they are a local company is a bonus but hope their local support is good? Ps. Apologies if this has been asked before - I just havent been able to find any information via the search option...

ShinePhone App Growatt gives installer code error
Just register yourself as an installer and create your own code. I was in exactly the same situation after I lost trust in JC Solar Panels' installer.

Growatt Inverter + Pylontech Batteries : BMS Comms Guide
Hi Seems I have the same issue that @Tsa was having way back in 2020 - random trips and restarts. On restart there are no fault codes, etc. I did manage to catch one of these trips and it was a 04/20 error. I have the SPF5000ES with 2 x Dyness B3 batteries + Canadian Solar PV. These issues only started happening when I added the 2nd B3 battery. The Dyness rep told me that both batteries have the latest firmware - based on the serial numbers. The inverter has the 67/68 firmware. Any suggestions / recommendations to remedy this issue?

Growatt SPF5000ES BMS communication error
Thanks for this. Im having the exact same issue on my setup (SPF5000ES and 2x Dyness B3s). First battery is set to 0110 and second battery (slave) set to 0000. Using the Dyness cable that came with the battery. Random trips during the day with fault 04 and fault 20. How did you get a new cable?
