Hi As long as the iHost network cable is in the same IP network segment as the Sonoff devices and the iHost it will pick all of them up. The other thing you can try is put the TP-Link it into bridge mode and there will only be one network segment. In bridge mode you do lose some of the TP-link functionality. Aleks Sonoff Africa

Hi The reason this happens is because the schedules are locally based and "Last command is true" which applies. So if a Schedule runs after LoadShedder has turn off the device it will turn it on. The solution is to run you schedules from scenes which when LoadShedder is "ON" then you turn of the scene automatically with in the Load Sheading scene and when Load Shedder is OFF you let the Recovery Scene turn them back on automatically. It works very well, we have this setup in over 2000 sites now and the only challenges where network issues which the Sonoff iHost has resolved. Hi Hi Hope you are well, The LoadShedder bundle will defiantly do it with the standard eWelink scenes. There is new options available in eWelink and Sonoff New iHost (Local) for day time and night time scenes which are linked to Sunrise and Sunset with offsets and delays. Hi, We haven't had any issues. Quick question are you using any wifi extenders? Is it a single router with WiFi? I would always recommend that the main router be the only DHCP server and reserve the IP address of the Sonoff devices so if they boot up in diffrent sequence it will still get the same IP address and go online. Hi, there is no price difference on the D1 and we definitely dont recommend the D1 in South Africa with out a inverter. If it runs on a inverter and you clear the RF frequency and then add the remote the ghosting will not return till your battery runs flat. Its caused by auto programming function the runs for the first 5 second during power up. It would be great if Sonoff could add RF pairing button or put it in the software. Aleks

Hi, I would definitely go for a POWR3. Also recomend installation in the DB if there is space or next to the DB and not in the roof as the heat in the South Africa roof is above the operating temprature of the POWR3. Aleks

Hi, Sorry missed the post completely. Unfortunately not but there is a modification for the current one. Just remove the the RF and then the ghosting stops. The other way is to clear the frequency and to keep it on inverter circuit. The ghosting stops. Aleks

Hi The Sonoff Africa Loadshedder team has found a very simple way to sort that out as the last command is always true with Sonoff. It really took us a year to test all the possible combinations. Hi I have not had the issue personally but it is being discussed out there on eWelink this is a copy Random off/on the issue since Nov 2022. As we found yesterday, if the Alexa and SONOFF devices are in the same LAN, such an issue will happen no matter if you linking the Alexa and eWeLink accounts or not. Why does this happen? We did not find out the root cause honestly, but the key effecting factor is Alexa. We are working together with some users to find out the root cause. So if you used Alexa, please try to power off the Alexa and see whether this issue still going on, or you can remove the Alexa from the network and observe the behavior of SONOFF products. Hi Luckily it's easy to solve with TASMOTA firmware flash on the device that would be locally controlled with HA. Sonoff are hardware manufactures and eWelink is a cloud software. There is always HA, Node-Red and now iHost so with a good Firewall nothing to worry about. Aleks

Hi The ZigBee 220 volt devices are slowly winning me over as the 128 device mark is a challenge even with 3 different access points with subnetting and a different mash network for streaming. I know there are better ways to do it it’s just the cost involved stack up pretty quickly. I was not much of a ZigBee fan probably because I was more of an IP Networking guy and if I could ping it from my command prompt I was happy, seeing the latency, packet drops was easy. I am starting to enjoy the new NS Panel Pro as a desktop panel. The ZigBee Bridge on it and adding the sensors was really easy unlike before. You can add ZigBee devices directly on the panel which is really nice and quick, notifications are quick and the display is good. I know that HA solves all these issues of local scenes, local networking and If anyone is interested in going on JV with HA I am very happy to start a business venture. Aleks

Hi I am also not a fan of battery powered sensors ZigBee or WiFi. The only battery powered device I really like is my house is my Inverter the rest I will happily run a cable and never have to deal with flat batteries. I.e. my cell phone and the only reason I put up with the bad battery life because its mobile. I was not much of a fan of the ZigBee devices at all till the ZigBee Bridge Pro came out had some nice local security features like arming and disarming. Now that the NS Panel Pro is here with a built in ZigBee Bridge Pro and sound I am defiantly a bit more of a fan. I have also ran multiple tests and different batteries. I found that the bigger the distance between sensor is and Bridge the quicker the battery runs flat which adds up. So the ZigBee plug helped alot. I also found the Duracell batteries where much better and then they became harder to get. Also found and huge relation between having the sensors in a cooler place. I.e. I had one on the top of the fridge and it lasted half the time of the one on the Kitchen counter. I think sensor should be deigned to last a year and the form factor should be sized accordingly. I have now wired my 10 year old DSC alarm control panel through a small signalling relay's to a Sonoff MINI S1 and S2 port's and have one Sonoff Mini per zone and it turns on my lights via scenes as I walk through the house. We are also testing a very cleaver solution on the current sensors and have six months successful testing hopefully will get Sonoff’s permission to make the modification. Aleks

Hi I complete agree with scoobs, never remove or bypass the thermostat that is there. Does your system show that the temperature on the sonoff is higher than 56C on the screen or app? Also please enable notifications while in the debug phase it will make it easier to find what is causing the problem. Please post some screen shots of the configuration and I will gladly see if I can see anything that could be causing the issue. Aleks

Hi There are defiantly a lot of factors to consider in which will shut down first. The make and size of the inverter and batteries, if it’s during the day if solar is available to keep the load up. The general rule is if the system is 5kw with correctly sized battery then load shedder will do the job very consistently every time and shut down the devices. A good example is. 1. If the Toaster, kettle and the geyser is running when load shedding happens your inverter will drop the load before as it was probably in bypass already due to overload. 2. If the Toaster, kettle are running and the geyser is on but the water is hot and the element is not running then no problem the load shedder will shut it down with time to spare. You can also run different configurations for different times of the day or night. Easiest way to explain it is that as long as the inverter can keep the load up for 2 seconds then the load shedder will work ever time. Aleks

Hi I agree, if they were delayed start would resolve the issues. One fix is to have the main router and mash on small backup power so they don’t go offline. The other issue we have seen is Double NAT issues. The fix is to have the mash in bridge mode and IP's reserved on the main router. Only one subnet on the network. Hope that helps Aleks
