Hi, Yes you could defiantly use the load shedder in a waterproof box by you trolley inverter and it will trigger the scene to send the signal down to the Gate controller that is power by the gate motor battery. They would both be in eWeLink so it’s nice and quick to create scenes. As long as you have WiFi and Internet at both points no problem. Aleks

Hi, The triggers are really fast with in the same account, it takes around a second. Cross accounts via IFTTT around 8 seconds and I have also seen it take as long as 18 seconds. Aleks

Hi, How are you? 1. Its a lot easier if they are all on Sonoff devices. All the Scene's would be in eWelink but you can also go via IFTTT to Tuya smart life. It just requires an eWelink VIP license. R169 per year. 2. They need to be in the same account as scenes dont work cross accounts and you would need to use IFTTT again. Hope that helps. Aleks

Hi, It is a awesome inverter and works great with powering none essential loads with spare PV. Lots of configurable power priorities and mode variations. Easy to configure diffrent modes. Its been the best inverter that I have had so far. Definitely a good investment.

The Load Shedder is a smart power detector that turns off appliances such as pool pumps, Geysers, and anything else you would like to switch off when load shedding starts. It also recover's the load when eskom power is back with delays. No additional re-wiring of DB board is required. All appliances that need to be controlled require smart devices like Sonoff Basic or any other Sonoff products. Aleks

Hi, Currently I have not experienced any connectivity issue's on the 320 or 316 they work very well. I would test your local wifi and Internet. I currently have 124 device's and I must say that it got tricky at around 62 device's then I moved the network to mash with multiple cubes which solved the issue's. I also had to do DHCP reservations which solved alot of problems. I reconfigured my network and split automation from the rest. I use to have alot of lag probably from the retransmission. It takes time and wireshark, its was easier just to and a new router for work statinion's and chrome cast streaming. Aleks

Hi, I agree the L1 was the best controller then COVID and it went backwards on Led controller's. Sonoff L3 Pro saved it for me with the rainbow effects but connectivity still only 802.11b

Hi, Thank you. The challenge I have is that I have not been able to find one with local certification by the NRCS. Which if I understand correctly is not in-line with local building regulation. This could potentially void any insurance claim should a claim's assessor ask. I would like to find out if legally my understanding of the building regulation is correct or would I be paying insurance and possibly have no cover. Hi, The easiest and cheapest way is a Sonoff Mini and a relay. That is basically what the Loadshedder is with a few safety features built in. The only reason we keep the configuration in the manual is for safety and preventing the general public building and shorting their systems. The main reason for the relay holder is so you can pull the relay out and the system goes to manual and not to add cost's. The reason for the blue heat shrink for the com's cable's is not to add cost but to make it easily identifiable to any technician on site. The reason for the pilot light is so we can do remote support call's over the phone with any qualified installer and know that the system is functioning as planned. I will gladly send you guys the build by numbers manual and literary you just put the components on the page , wire it up and then you go to the DB board shut down and install. Hi All you need to do is just go into the settings of the Sonoff mini and change the trigger mode into follow mode and it should solve the problem. If it doesn’t solve the problem there could be a few other configurations we can gladly run through. There is also other causes i.e. if the inverter runs flat or is switching the load's and Eskom does load shedding or inverter is going to bypass and does not switch back quick enough creating power interruption depending on the invertor. We been testing and making small changes to the Loadshedder and have a hit rate of 99 out of a 100 on the current version v4 of the Loadshedder. Welcome to give me a call 0823793860 and we can go over some of the setting if the above does not solve the problem. We have it at the point that it will sync itself back into the correct state after one Eskom shedding cycle. Aleks
