Oliter 48v lithium
Any one familiar with this battery . Any one have one with a blown bms that I can purchase the battery from you . Any one know who sells these battery in SA .

Should I earth the solar panel frame with a 50 - 100 kA lightning arrestor
Our towns top electrician has the same theory about earthing outside object as he also said that if it's earth the the lightning will then follow that earthing and damage electronic . He said 90% of electric gate motors that are damage due to lightning all are earths the ones that are not earth last till they wear out .

Back Power for Remote Working
Ecco 3.5 kw inverter is not bad and can communicate with most lithium and has wifi module which is optional with the 3.5kw . But one problem with this inverter is if you going to run on solar through the day and if it's anything like the 5.5kw the option for the inverter to switch from battery mode to grid setting is only max 50% soc so in the evening it will run the battery every night down to 50 % before it switches to grid if using SBU mode so if you want to only run your battery down to say 80% every evening not possible when on lith mode . Must has nice inverter, lithium combos that work well as a unit .

Volta Stage 4 battery error
My mom's 5 kw deye with vestwood 48 lithium when 100% charged the alm red light starts flashing so it's not just your setups . From checking volts the volts are around 54.4 v this is 3.62 volts per cel don't think it's good to maintain charge at such high volts .

Whats the best small scale load shedding solution that can be wired to a DB
I installed at my sister's in laws house an 1600wat hybrid inverter for R4k an 12v lithium for R3300 and 2 370w second hand solar panels cost R1k for both . It's wired into the db board lights only with an 6 way multi plug for tv , fans and wifi router . Guess this is as cheap as you going to get when it comes to hybrid inverter .

Settings for AGM BAttery
22v cutoff is a bit low 23 to 23.5 is safer cutoff . You have not mentioned the bulk and float charge .

Function of the three way switch.
You talk about an 3 position switch but more info is need about the 3 position switch . Is it a Manuel change over switch or automatic change over switch . From what you say it sounds like an Manuel change over switch I have witnessed Manuel change over switch when overloaded or short they jump to center to cut power but should not jump down to grid position .

Sunsynk batteries fast drain
It could be a bad cell best have someone connect there laptop up to the battery to monitor individual cell to get to the root of the problem . An question how are those 2 batteries wired to each othere and to the inverter .

How many peak surges can an inverter handle?
Best is install these sonoff units that switches off appliances running from inverter in load shedding and power failure . If you have solar then in the day time you can set in times to not switch appliances off but only in night time hours with load shedding or power failures Have this setup installed in my parents in law house and working grate

Battery heat problem - What is this resin?
As I said best to keep an eye on how your setup is charging . For example Just yesterday got a guy that phone for help his humble is lasting only 2 or 3 hours were it used to last up to 8 hours with same load We did not do the instillation . Long story short the inverter was not communicating with the battery but did not give error so the Inverter was charging up to bulk charge which was higher than the bms allowed and was then cutting charging till the battery volts settled to a point the bms allowed charging again, could hear the relay switching in the battery . This was happening every 3 minutes 24/7 for an year + Don't think this did the battery very good long term . So don't just keep an eye on volts but also how the inverter charges .

Mid range 5kw inverter thoughts?
I second the luxpower

Battery heat problem - What is this resin?
2 month only 4 month max does not sound possible for even operating temp of around 40c . There must be something more going on there than just temp . I would keep an eye on how the inverter charges the batterys

Luxpower SNA5000 settings
Data dongle normally does come with . Some inverter use more than otheres up to 100w self use . The more batterys you have the more it will use . This is why we advice people that just want an load shedding solution to also install minimum pv just to keep the batterys charge through the day to reduce the systems running cost as most have noticed an increase in units used after inverter instillation .

Oliter ess expert 48v
Is any one using such an lithium is your volts simulator to this lithium. Testing this lithium . Volts rest at 49.9 volts in the evening is this normal for this lithium as Hubble am 2 that I'm used to rest around d53 v Inverter is set to communicate with with lithium so at 53.3 volts inverter stops charging till the lithium rests back to 49.9 volts then charges again to around 53v but soc stay at 100% and all 6 lights on battery show full . If I set to use and set bulk and float to +-53v played around with volts the bms cut the charging but the inverter still wants to charge so the volts jump around . Inverter is an Ecco 5.5 kw

Battery Charging to 99% not 100%... Anything wrong?
I see a lot of inverters do this from time to time so it seems to be normal . keep an eye on the volt to % as some of these battery run out of calibration over time . For example 53.3 is 100% but over time it shows 52.8 at 100% and this gap get bigger over time

Which Lithium Battery to choose
I have on the property 2 essener and 1 svolt . Between these 2 I vote essener . Can't say much for other bats

Welcome ZA to stage 6
Both are right . I keep a very close eye on eskom and weather that said . When all is going good with eskom then eskom can handle on increase in load due to lose in pv production due to weather . But if eskom is on the limits and then bad weather it then does not take much for a sudden jump from stage 2/3 to stage 6 . I did send out early yesterday to my client to prepare for possible high stages of load shedding as the singes . were telling what's coming .

Manuel for 5 kw inkwenkwezi inverter
Thanks will check but software and programing is nothing like axpert software .will take pic of the screen moment I get a chance

Geyser Switch - Between Non-Essential and Essential
Great perfect now all you need installed is a smart timer so if weather turns bad through the day you can switch off the geyser using your android from work and switch the change over switch to eskom wants you get home

Manuel for 5 kw inkwenkwezi inverter
Need help . Looking for a program Manuel but only the setting program if some one can take pics and shear on this post or we can pm for contact details . Your help will be greatly appreciated

Fair pricing for a Battery/Loadshedding backup without Solar
Best is get more than 1 quote but I can say we will ask half that for such an instillation
-
Geyser Switch - Between Non-Essential and Essential
Check out this link I have over the years made a lot of electrical units using wifi smart switched using similar setups is really not that hard . This is just an example of how smart timer switch can be used on say contactors , relays and in this case transfer switch . SA is limited to what we can get over the counter but do see there is smart switched with multi channels with interlocking on the net
-
Geyser Switch - Between Non-Essential and Essential
If you happy to Manuel switch when need be an change over switch will help to switch between non and essential power with an smart timer so if you not home through the day and see weathers not good to switch of geyser off if it's running from the essential line

Calculations with solar panel to inverter
I went back to one days data I remember that the volts was higher than average. It was a very strange hazy day but very bright day so the sun was not sharp but the light was bright . First pic . The first pic is output power of the day mostly small spikes up to 450wats due to fridges but with 5 bigger spikes . Second pics .is the volts up to 217v much higher than average . Third pic is an average days loads spiking to around 450w due to fridges and from day to day a few high spikes depending on what's being used . fourth pic. Is an average days pv volts well under 200v with the same loads . I have noticed some days do get small spikes of over 200v . It's due to volts spikes that I have observed that I don't recommend to run volts to close to maxs volts as it takes one strange day to burn your mppt controller .
