Axpert bulk/float charge voltages for LiFePO4 batteries
I have enough battery to run at night but decided to not and so I run from utility at night . I use sol mode

Axpert bulk/float charge voltages for LiFePO4 batteries
I have noticed these expert inverter charging from utility never seem to charge pasted 28v they only seem to charge to 29+ from pv . Lithium balance charge is at 29.2 for long period of time to properly balance the cels . The bms normally will balance at 27v but the cels are not then properly balance but not a big issue for a pack with healthy cels . I set my lithium bulk charge at 28.6v and float at 27.6v and only charge from pv so allowing the battery to rest at night as I think constantly charging 24/7 from utility is not good for the lithium . I used this method on my gel battery of allowing them to rest at night and they lasted 5 years . Once a month I will float charge from pv at 29v for one day from pv allowing the bms to balance at high volts . I always keep my lithium toped up regardless of soc

Require help with Growcol 3kVA
Looking at the data sheet charge volts is 28.2 to 28.8v but recommended float and bulk volts 28.4v so your float charge in use mode is to low .

Synapse Fan Run
There must be other controller but have not looked. The fans are 12 v fans so one on each fan as there's 2 fans 1 fan to cool the mppt controller and othere fan to cool the inverter . You can take it to some that works on electronic or do it your self . The controller are installed between the fan and the board so when the loads is low the fans don't run . And the heat sensors are placed on the aluminum heat sinks inside the inverter

Synapse V3.0+ & Hubble S1-00 Charge Issue
The synapse my parent in law has that is on gels when charging with solar it has this horrible float bug almost every day even on a perfect day with out clouds from sun up in the morning for the rest of the day . When charging from grid no float bug . Don't know if it will still have the float bug on lithium batteries . Good luck

Ecco 3.5kva inverter
Yip it's a chance you take when you buy a cheap inverter . I guess I have been lucky with my mks 2 pro as it's now about 6 years old and runs from solar through the day now for years with out an issue . Don't think these Ecco inverter have been on the market for long so not a lot on them but a Manuel will help pity the suppliers I have ask did not email me copy of the Manuel so guess I will run my inverter till it makes smoke by then hopefully there will be more info on this inverter or had enough time to save up for a better quality inverter . Thanks so long for the replies

Ecco 3.5kva inverter
Wow no one using this inverter or have a Manuel to take pics to see the setup on this inverter . It makes a person reluctant to buy this inverter with no idea what you getting only specs advertised but no manuel on the net and did ask an supplier to email the Manuel's program pages but they did not.

Ecco 3.5kva inverter
Any one had this inverter installed . No Manuel's on the net to down load so cant check it's setup options . Looks like new on the market as there not much said about this inverter Is it's fans noisy . Has it any bugs like the well known float bug . Does it perform as advertised

ESKOM's own goal - We all saw this coming :)
But then you got to think at what load shedding stage would we be having if it was not for all this pv and battery storage power or SA would have had by now a grid failure and SA would be sitting in the dark . But yet eskom blames a lot of problem ofter load shedding on inverters adding extra load in the grid due to charging of batteries . This will then only happens at night as in the day most inverter run from solar

Low voltage on Phase _Fixed
Most appliances can run from low volts but fridges motor can get damaged from low volts so yes try stay on battery or switch of fridges . On Monday the opposite happened part of town had high volts of 380 volts the few that got inverters the appliances were saved as the inverter switched to battery mode the houses that did not have inverter there tvs , microwaves , gate motor and more burnt out so the house with inverter were okay

Power price ZA vs UK
I'm using gas for the gas hub and gas heater (gyser) but we only 2 in the house and 3 when my youngest daughter comes visit every 2 month we 3 but all shower and we use a 9kg bottle every 7 to 8 weeks in summer and every 6 weeks in winter. 9 kg bottle cost R280 to exchange so you guys can do your calculations but about R160 a month to shower and cook so for me electric geyser can't beat gas even running the electric geyser on a timer and added advantage is there's always hot water .

Synapse and AGM batteries
Sound like you may have killed your batterys . Put the inverter under load and test each cell (battery) with multimeter to identify the bad cell (battery) . Bested is go lithium you get some lithium with out coms port from R12500 + 4 good quality AGM is also going to cost around that so best is lithium as you can discharge down to 10% this making 1 24v lithium 100ah almost equiliant to 4 100ah AGM as AGM battery can only discharge to max 50%

First day of Solar
You have the perfect plan there as you managing the system and you got future plans for geyser . . It's just my wife and me in the house and from time to time my youngest daughter so we opted for gas heater (geysers) as we all shower and gas stove . we burn 9kg gas ever 7weeks to 8 weeks in summer and 6 weeks in winter . 9 kg gas Bottle exchange is R280 this still beats using electric geyser and there's always hot water regardless of load shedding or hours of power failure

First day of Solar
Like Greenfield said in work mode tick the box and set the times and percentages but it will take a few days to find the sweat spot . We found using 20% of storage power works well leaving 80% soc for load shedding in the evening even in stage 6 load shedding works great for us this using 20% battery going into the evening save a small amount but like I said before, for now with load shedding we not going to benefit as much à we would have if there was no loading shedding .
-
First day of Solar
Okay nice 👏👏👏👏 Best is take pic of the work mode screen so we can see how the inverter is setup as it can be programed to use battery down to a set percentage in the evening before it then uses utility . But don't think it should drain the battery down to 48% as that's not leaving much for load shedding or power failure. In SA today depending on battery capacity and average load it's safe for some not less than 80% but best is maintaining 100% . So the only saving will be from solar through the day . If or when load shedding is something of the passed then we can start benefiting from stored power but till that happens best is to maintain 100% soc for now

First day of Solar
You did not say if you have had pv panels installed as looking at your pic pv is 0w so we can assume no pv or it's night time . The only way you going to safe is install pv as an inverter with no pv is just an load shedding solution .

Can this system be connected to the DB board?
Got you . But use with using an cross over switch you can connect directly to the db . You can also drop the main breaker and shutdown all heating appliances and plug that inverter into an wall socket when there is no electricity
-
Can this system be connected to the DB board?
For R4500 why not just buy an 12v hybrid sine wave inverter that is then programmable and all in one that can be connected to you db board . No separate charger , cross over switch and pv solar controller and volts can be set for the type battery used . And the hybrids has an built in pv solar controller so you can add solar panel as well

Sun solar 3.6kw inverter info
Hi . Has anyone got a Manuel or know we're I can down load a Manuel for the sun solar 3.6kw inverter as I can't find any Manuel's downloads on the net for this inverter and would like to see what all setting it has .

Batteries drained after 1.5 hours.
Looking at your inverter specs sheet shut down volts are battery killer volts. On your setup, no you can't replace your deep cycle battery with lithium To go for lithium you will have to buy an charger that can charge lithium and they not cheap . So my advices is save your self all the trouble of buying bits and pieces to make your system reliable and battery friendly and buy an hybrid inverter and if 12v setup is all you need then for around R10k you can buy an 12v hybrid inverter with 100ah lithium battery and you should be good then for years of more load shedding
-
Shoto Battery drain
Best is coms but there is nothing wrong with running from volts setting only (with out com) as long as your setting are right . So lithium specs would help .
-
Batteries drained after 1.5 hours.
You charging batterys to float charge and so they not fully charged at that volts and so it can take hours for them to reach full charge at 13.3v float only . You did not say what inverter you have but sounds like it is just an bench inverter and not an sin wave hybrid inverter as you using an smart charger . The problem with smart charger you can not set the bulk and float charge for the specific battery used and so you mite be undercharging or over charging your battery NOT good The problem with these normal cheaper bench inverter is you can not set the shut down volts so you over discharging your batterys NOT good . In the end such an setup is going to cost a fortune on batterys or having to constantly babying the system to prolong battery life . If 12 v system is all you really need for the basics and load shedding solution then you get same nice hybrid sinwave 1.8 kw inverter for around R4500 so allowing you to setup charge volts and shutdown volts for the type battery used .

PV Flatline on Axpert
What size and length pv cable you using as 6 string are around 50amps + so if the cable is to long and thin you going to have surge issues and can only think the the controller will have an issues with consistency especially with clouds out . This inverter has low volts but high wats controller can only think that's a combination for problems with 6 strings if pv cables are to long or to thin.

PV Flatline on Axpert
More info will help First what inverter . Post inverter specs Second number of panels in series and pv specs

Esener 3kw inverter setting/running question
Looking at the specs that I found on the mecer pv , 3 in series is going to damage the inverter so best is 2s x 2p will be the safest .
