  1. Anytime Craig. Thanks for your kind words.
  2. Hi Jacques. Please send me your inverter serial number and I’ll request an upgrade for you.

  4. No matter what the chemistry, BYD still leads the development in both NMC and LFP cells and that’s why Hubble chose BYD as their cell manufacturer.
  5. Very well said. Nothing good will ever come out of conflict. That was an excellent approach
  6. Hi. Yes. Currently SANS is in the process of finalizing the Small Scale Embedded Generation. Not sure how long it will take though. It’s anyone’s guess
  7. Ok for an electrician to give you a COC, he would have needed to check for an elevated voltage between neutral and earth. Normally the Sunsynks, when in islanding mode, have an elevated voltage of around 80V to 100V which is against SANS 10142. AC and DC cables should not be in the same trunking. Also against SANS
  8. I noticed you don’t have and earth neutral bridge. Did your installer check the voltage between earth and neutral on the load side of the inverter when the grid is disconnected?
  9. I’m assuming you have a geyser and an oven etc. Your installer should have wired all these loads on the grid side of the inverter between the inverter and the CT. This is how the inverter is designed so that excess PV can supply these items. Seeing that you have no CT, with limit to load ticked, the PV and battery will only supply the essential/load side of the inverter which is really not the way the inverter is designed to be used.
  10. Hi CR Please get your installer to install the CT coil correctly. It’s one of the most important parts of the inverter.
  11. The issue is, no matter what is said, people will believe whatever they want to. Almost like the flat earth soceity. So as @Vassen says, it’s a pointless discussion.
  12. Oh here we go again. Well said. It becomes pointless when you only have experience with a single battery brand and nothing else.
  13. I was at the Sunsynk repair centre yesterday. Of the many containers that came in of the 8kw unit. There were only 3 that were faulty. These were the original units that came in SA.
  14. Yes. Max Voc is 1000V. 15kw total PV. Sunsynk is also developing a 12kw single phase inverter with 15kw PV input. Exciting times.
  15. I think Keith made a mistake. I was told by the engineers that it’s 4kw per phase with a 50% phase imbalance. So it will take 2kw from phase A to phase B which is a max of 6kw. However only time will tell as to what’s true when the inverter is out.
  16. Are u sure it’s 12kw per phase?
  17. The installation manual is 12mb. I can whatsapp it to u
  18. Hi Achmat. I have the data sheet and manual. See attached data sheet. Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter - Datasheet.pdf
  19. Ok then as per my previous post, each battery can take 50A x 4 is 200A. So you can set the master inverter to 100A which will deliver a total of 200A to the bank
  20. What you misunderstand is that current (A) doesn’t flow without voltage (V). If 60A was just 60A then a 12V 60AH battery is the same according to you as a 48V 60AH and it’s completely different.
