Groenkaroo reacted to Sidewinder in New Infini Super
After reading this post, my first reaction was to regret pulling the trigger so fast on the Infini V 5kW. Compared to the 4kW Axpert, I like the fact that i can, for 99% of the time, run my household without having to play Power Police - doing things in parallel like in the old days, and not serially. Yesterday - a washing day, we used the washing machine, dish washer and geyser on at the same time, plus a 500W panel heater. For the first time in 5 weeks since installation, I heard the unfamiliar (now) beep beep to signal overload. ICC was showing almost 7kW draw!.
Sure, the new plus 4 kW is less expensive, but buying two at the same time is a stretch.
So, my recommendation for a family of four with mild "green" tendencies, one can cope with a V 5kW (with a non split DB
For a larger or more normal family, a dual Super 4kW would be super.
What I liked about going for a 4 kW setup first, is that it made all the occupants of the house power aware, so the behavior is now entrenched!

Groenkaroo got a reaction from Mark in New Infini Super
I've been looking at the Infini Super for a long time but the first ones available in SA was quit expensive at about R35 000. The price is now almost half of that which makes it excellent value for money. It is definitely my first choice when I upgrade. Another plus point is that you can parallel up to 6 units. So now you can have a 8 kw full hybrid inverter with 10 kw of PV input capability for less than 40 grant - beat that.

Groenkaroo got a reaction from ___ in Ingeteam
It seems to me the Ingecon is more designed for your newer battery technologies like the lithium ion and Aquion batteries. Most of these are 48 V units, so you need only a few in series to get over 96 V.

It's quite a while now that I look at the Ingecon Sun Storage 1 play 6kw as a hybrid inverter option. It does however have one or two drawbacks. You need to have a 96 V battery bank and the inveter cannot run without batteries like the Infini's. It also have only one MPPT compared to the two of most 5 kw inverters. I would also like to hear from someone who has got experience with the product. Where did you get your price from Hein?

The spec sheet of the Vision matches that of the  Infini 3 kw Plus almost perfectly. If it is reliable it will centainly give most members of Powerforum a new vision. Pitty it can not be paralleled.
