Advice Needed – Sunsynk vs. Eenovance Battery Decision
Hi Calli Done the installation with Eenovance and Sunsynk Batteries. Works Well. I did not need to update the battery firmware just needed to make the Eenovance battery the master battery. Refer attached photo (These were 10kwh batteries x 4 - 2 x sunsynk and 2 x Eenovance) Just remember that in terms of the installation of an additional battery, it depends on how one is installing the battery. The most correct way is for each battery to be isolated using a fuse holders, then a bus bar to combine the batteries and then another fuse holder to the inverter. Also battery cable lengths need to be the same as well as the cables need to be the same gauge. Happy to take a call on 082 451 5786

Schubart BMS communication with Sunsynk
Hi Roelof Based on the manual posted, the Schubart battery does not appear to be able to communicate withthe Sunsynk inverter. The reason for my statement is that it communicates to batteries in the bank withthe RS485 port and Inverters either communicate withthe battery via RS485 or CAN communication ports, neither of which are available for Inverter to battery Comms. The RS 232 port may be utilised together with a device offered by a company like Solar Asisstant though I did not find the schubart battery listed on their website. https://solar-assistant.io/shop Anyway, if you did find a solution, please do advise.

Guide: Setting up Greenrich batteries with Kodak inverters (and many other Voltronic inverters I assume)
On the Kodak OG7.2 Setting 1 Would SBU or SUB be the preferred setting? 1. I would have assumed SBU would be preferred as it would reduce the utility bill, however with programme 12 (Back to utility) set at 48V, the system cutoff during loadshedding last night. Prog 13 was set to 51V. and there was no comm cable. Prog 29 set at 44V - Will adjust in accordance withthe above and put in comms. 2. IF SUB is utilized, would it Solar be used concurrently with Utility in the event thatthere is a shortfall on the PV generation to cover load.

LUXPOWER TEK Inverter EPS error
My issue is resolved for now: Had the same issue and was advised as follows:- 1. Ensure you have the latest firmware 2. adjust the charge voltage to 54,6 3. Set ac charge according to SOC 90-100% and not time. I was told, by Luxpowertek: “EPS voltage high issue during fail to limit output when grid fail, and grid frequency changed a lot” Hope this helps. Seems to have worked in my case

Pylontech UP5000 & Axpert MKS 5KVA
Hi Ben You welcome to give me a call on 0824515786 Did you use a standard network cable or the one supplied. In both cases the pin out configuration would be incorrect. You will need to make a comm cable with the following configuration: Also make sure that the Dip Switches are correct. Usually Dip 1 is ON Below is just a photo to indicate the nubering on the RJ45 plug

Earth leakage trips intermittently - cannot find reason
Hi Guys Tried the above RCD (63A version) and did not resolve tripping after power failure restore. Need an electrician that could help in the Morningside/Kelvin Area (Sandton) to conduct the above tests and trace the fault. By the way the 25A and 40A RCD from ABB has been discontinued, only available in 63A. Message or contact me on 0824515786

Earth leakage trips when power restored
Hi Guys Need Help. I have got the earth tripping only when municipal power returns. I have tried installing the ABB Type APR (F202 A-63/0.03 AP-R) RCD but it did not resolve the issue for me. Can anyone reccommend an electrician able to trace and resolve this issue in the Morningside/Kelvin Area in Sandton. The fault can be simulated by tripping the municipal supply to the property on the boundary line. Call/Message me on 0824515786

Scammed by Priest, Growatt 5kVa stolen
Had a similar call from Coronationville. Pastor Andre Manicomb 0832955479. Fortunately, I refused a COD transaction and stated that I was happy to collect the funds and deliver thereafter. no contact after that. I seem to also be getting lots of fraudelant messages from Facebook Messenger. When checking the profile pictures and then calling them, there appears to be a mismatch with their profile photos and the accent on the line. I make certain I call all customers before concluding or doing a transaction. Lots of thieves out there. Sorry for your loss, it is very difficult to loose your hard earned money to the unscrupulous individuals.
