  1. @Steve87 yes we are currently busy with this build appreciate your support. @BritishRacingGreen his extensive knowledge is golden and his layout are simple to follow I know Steeve keeps you busy and appreciate you assistance with this.
  2. @NoordSolar so they come in 4 meter lengths , just enquire they might have off cuts. Im took a 4 meter length.
  3. @NoordSolar cupolar trading they sell copper products. They aslo cut aswell in Durban they have branches aswell.
  4. Busbar drilled and tapped for bms positive. 3x20 copper bar.
  5. @Marda unfortunately there is no communication between the inverter and battery. You will need to use user defined settings in 05 and read the manual for the battery and set the inverter according to the manual it will have Bulk ,Float and low cut off. One important thing check your charge amps and make sure it set to battery specifications or there goes you warranty on the batt.Hope this helps you.
  6. Just my advice when purchasing batteries look at the type of cells they are made from for whatever reason the battery fails most times its cell replacement and your warranty is not honored can it be repaired and can you get a cell that can match. There are plenty of bms available out there my personal favorite is thee JBD. I'm sure I the coming years lifepo4 cell will be more easily to get.
  7. @OzzyMozzy Just my 2c if I look at this it tells me the BMS parameters are either not set properly or at a higher voltage. Just remember the BMS has a cell protection voltage and an overall pack voltage which ever comes first the BMS must provide that protection and shut down.
  8. @NoordSolar you can set a fixed AH but not thee charge as each cell is different. For example 1 cell might take 3 hours to charge one might take 1 hour. So if there was a fixed time it might not reach its full capacity just says if it's set to 1hour. That is why it charge from just say 20amp and drops to just say 0.10 amp cut off when fully charged.
  9. @kobus123 it sound like when series one of the bms is shutting down thus giving you 26.9v .Does the batteries have Bluetooth monitoring to check?

Hi All Just a guide when sizing busbar and wire. Ī
  12. @Steve87 i would have to agree with you on this, just one thing if it's A Grade cell the supplier would have done and initial capacity test to verify the capacity and protect themselves if and issue were to arise due to capacity testing. Why pay A Grade price when it's not.
  13. @sharkut it's should not be draining your battery as it's and active balancer it should be transferring power. Your first setting seems to be good at 55v. I have a 272 amp with 5amp active balancer. Normal charge rate at 100Amp solar it not good today.
  14. @Just-ify there are some inverters that has an AUX port / Gen port which you can use.

If you in Durban can try Buscoplar I think there's a branch in JNB aswell that were I buy from.
  18. @Gnome So first things first , find a good trusted supplier one that is verified, there are a few out there make all your enquiries about the product specifications and grade. When confirming the order stipulate all you requirements and make sure they are clear and understood by the supplier. Choose your payment options i think credit cards are safer as they have the 120day charge back facility but T&C apply. We'll shipping is DDP. When I used Shenzhen, they will send to a warehouse in JNB and once there the company will contact you to arrange for pickup and verify that you are the correct recipient. Most important of all keep all your correspondence with the seller and make sure it's done on the App because if a dispute were to take place you have proof ,as I almost lost my money due to the first supplier i used. I think @Steve87 can share his tips and experience.
  19. @Gnome so you will need to ask for DDP shipping with all cost included.
  20. @Chris.jmps did you come right
  21. So because I don't charge them up to 58.4v I set them like that, thanks Andies has some nice videos out there and alot to be learned. In fact I followed his advice on the bus bar.
  22. @Chris_S they dont really float as to AGM so they range is 3.2 to 3.65V per cell. 2.5V end voltage, so if you have a 16s end voltage would be 40v and 58.4 max charge voltage as per spec sheet.
  23. @Tim003 how old is the inverter?
  24. Yes that is correct, but when wiring the inverter it should go to DB first.
  25. It does but on the inverter it shows AGM.
